Sorry, I wasn't having a dig at you, it just came out wrong on t'internet ... whoops!

Ted, said he didn't like the car when I first bought it, I just think he didn't gel with it. Ferrari or not a Scud can wear a bit thin! For me personally it's a sunny day car that fills me with excitement each and every time I open the garage door.
A few years back I had an m3 csl, I loved the car and stopped using my 430 at the time. I then started using the csl to drive to work in the city, after a few months I didn't like it and sold it. The car was still amazing but didn't suit my needs. I think if I was using the scud in the same way I'd feel the same way about it after a while. As it is I don't use it but want to get to brands hatch soon.

The scud has a soft damper setting button by the handbrake, and it's superb when driving along a bumpy b road. Although when the wife had a go the other day she said "why's the car in a river" LOL!
Yes thats the one everyone knows about.
It only works in Race and gives you the Sport setting which is still rock solid but the low grip gives you softer again which does help me from not losing my mind on poor english roads frown

Never used mine in anything but Sport and Button deployed, all positives and on the road perfect....

i like your style, don't fk about getting used to the marque or anything! bang! straight into the stripped down full fat race car!

just noticed your previously owned mp4 12c.....another dissatisfied customer ?? i had a peep in the showroom when i was down in knutsford and i must admit they are gorgeous looking things
I got caught up in the Mclaren hype, but I found it pretty dull to be honest. Much more of an everyday car than I expected. And too many issues... Luckily I got out early enough before the prices dropped.

Since there seems to be so many Scud owners in this thread, who do you use for insurance?

The button only works in race and then gives you the sport damping.
If you press it in sport nothing happens as you are already on the softer sport damping.
The low grip on the Manettino gives you the softest setting.

As soon as I clear the towns boundary im straight into race with the button pressed for sport damping.

Start at the very beginning, that's a very good place to start.....as someone once said!

I'm curious as I'm in a 599 at the moment but I've got a 458 Spider on order so I'm wondering if a 550 / 575 or a 360CS / Scud / Superleggera might sit nicely next to it.

Well at 10 grand less than Dick lovetts 2009 and with half the mileage it was under priced.
They are selling for a client.

I use competition car insurance they gave me full no claims even though I didn't have any at the time and they also throw in 5 track days per year.

This year I've gone with RSA through A-Plan. Previously it was a Chubb policy via Locktons.

At 3,138 miles lack of use is making me feel, as it has done periodically, that I should sell but the car is so good,I've had it from new and prices are firming so it is hard to let go. Advert is written so I'll see if I actually place it!
