Hi All. Not a regular on here, but just thought I would add....
I just spoke to a contact of mine in Lamb Birmingham who say its limited to a max of 300 cars, 170 booked (deposits paid) of which 45 are from the UK.
I also enquired as to the cost of transporting the car down there and back. UK to Milan and then from Bologna to UK is £2200, which is a tad pricey.
Despite the 'A' package price of €5500, I think it will be a one-off trip, hence I'm thinking of booking the 'A' package (5 nights).
Besides, I think I'd rather make a proper trip of it & set off the weekend before (maybe the 4th May).
Just wondered if anyone else has a similar sort of plan? ....that is, driving it, setting off around the 4th, ferry over to France and a stopover en-route?
Anyone?
Funnily enough i'm speaking to Lamborghini London about organising a trip down, starting with the Eurotunnel on the 4th (Saturday).I just spoke to a contact of mine in Lamb Birmingham who say its limited to a max of 300 cars, 170 booked (deposits paid) of which 45 are from the UK.

Well, also booked on this full trip and considering options to drive down, would like to be kept in the loop of any plans and groups driving there would be great. There are two of us and one car once we find one to purchase lol.
We are not sure yet if we will stay for the mille miglia and might consider transporting the car back, first things first. Look forward to a great year ahead kindest regards to all.

I'm tempted to do something. I only used the car once last year !!
But I'm not too keen on the official option of swanky hotels and restaurants and what I suspect may be a bit of a parade route.
Perhaps an option is a group drive down and just join for the final day run to the factory?

I don`t mind abit of a parade but I am hoping to do some proper Hooning. Your Murcie needs some exercise. But I'm not too keen on the official option of swanky hotels and restaurants and what I suspect may be a bit of a parade route.

Hi Jan,
Well your dates/times have started the ball rolling.
Are you intending to leave Bologna on Monday am & get back to the Eurotunnel later the same day on Monday?
Lets see who else has made travel arrangements (or about to book them).
Are you doing the 'A' package?
Cheers
Mark

Yes I have booked Package A.
The final night of the event is the Saturday. I plan leaving Sant`Agata Sunday morning, stop somewhere halfway back to Calais on the way back Sunday night and then take the Eurotunnel late Monday afternoon.
The driving distance from Sant` Agata to Calais is approx 800 miles.

Not sure how..... but shall we canvas to see if there's any other interest for the same route/times/agenda?

I'm on the full trip so will join the convoy down in the Countach. staying in Italy for the Lamborghini family event the following week where he was born I think just south of Florence. Thinking of keeping it in Italy until the Monaco GP. Be great to have it for the race weekend. Imagine quite a few European Lambos will be around.
All paid up and am really looking forward to it!
Now to fix the car, which is work in progress - hope to have some good news by next week!
I would love to be able to bring a Ducati along as well - as we are all family now - picking up the Desmosedici RR this weekend to go along with the Panigale S!
I have spoken to Sophie Atkins at Lamboghini London, who I believe is also organising a convoy down to Milan. Is anyone else doing this - or are we all making our own way down there? Anyone fancy meeting up to discuss over a glass of wine or two?
