The estimated time from order to delivery is 6 months. However, due to demand for the Mono a car ordered soon would arrive around July 2013. BAC are aiming to expand their building capacity over the next few months to keep on top of worldwide demand and to maintain a six month lead time.

I was having a discussion a few weeks ago about what this car is registered as. LHD or RHD? ie, assuming you are in a country which allows only LHD, could this sneak through?

Looks great, the only thing I would be worried about with the colour and it being so low is people not seeing you at junctions etc.

anyone know why it wasnt on the latests eries of top gear? they showed it in the preview at the start of the first episode, but didnt show it. It missed the last series, too where they went to donington in the caterham, morgan and x-bow

Thanks for the positive comments.

In answer to the couple of queries;

Mine is chassis number 9 although I don't think that necessarily means there are 8 others on UK roads.
The Mono should be included in the forthcoming series of Top Gear this summer.....better chance of a dry lap for The Stig I guess!!
No idea about LHD/RHD!?
I take your point about the colour and being seen at junctions etc and it is a little intimidating following and passing a 40' arctic on the motorway hoping that he has seen you but I really didn't want a very loud colour or the white that has become almost the default colour.

Absolutely worth a thread revisit... We were near SuperVettura today collecting a car for a customer, whilst there we were kindly shown around the stock by Tom of SuperVettura.

The BAC Mono is superb in the metal, such a well finished vehicle it really is incredible. Not at all typical of low volume manafacturers. Of course it was just a walk around the car, but this car really wears its style well. Honestly I thought it would look a touch akward judging by the pictures, the car simply isn't, such a fab looking piece of kit, it really seems incredible value considering there were no obvious shared parts to me, it seemed all bespoke to BAC.

If you're thinking of getting one, just go and see one, they're great.

I've got an Atom with all the carbon 'bling' and the Mono eclipses it on the beauty stakes hands down.

If their next car is an inline DUO I may even chop in my beloved Atom for it.

Here are the cars on a very, very nippy winters day this year in town...
