..not as if its hidden buried away in this thread either.O.K. Having been umming and arghing for a week I've caught the bug and spoken about the car today. It is indeed a Stradale, converted to 4 seats using all the original mounting points for teh seats,buckels/belts etc. The rear seats were re-trimmed to match the fronts. All GTS's have these fitting points, even the Strad apparently. Now I need to convince myself ( after I find out who did the work and confirm all O.K)to go and drive the thing.Twenty five years of running my business this year, surely I bloody deserve something don't I?.... Please?.....please someone convince me ,and also tell me how it can justify several grand over another standard Strad ( which it can't!)

Well, Its meant to be rather a sharp tool without losing its GTness. Now the 4 seats makes it, in my mind a real GT. If you want to convince your self, go and drive some rivals, like a DBS, then you haev something to compare it to. See if it makes sense.
Of course you may loose all logical thoughts when you hear the v8 and see the beauty of thing in the flesh....
It appeals becasue it's got the rawness of the Strad but with 4 seats.Big 2 seat coupes seem pointless to me( if it's two seats it has to be a lightweight car for me)which rules out the DBS and the like,as do 4 seat coupes that realisticly can only seat two ( which rules out GTR's DB9's etc etc)If I don't gor for this,I'm still likely to go for a GTS MC shift, but as I'm a sucker for rawness and stitched Alcantara a 4 seat Strad seems to offer the best of both!

Ah a man after my own heart!Never got the Idea of a 2 seater GT, either have comfort and a 'touring' style car, or have a focussed sports car, of course you can play with the balance of comfort and sport with the GT car, as Maserati have done brilliantly!
The DBS was 2+2 wasnt it, or at least it was an option, but as youve said its not really good for four adults, which is rather pointless.
Good luck and pics when bought!
Must admit the car really caught my eye. I have a 2011 GT S which I am very pleased with but always fancied a Stradale with four seats.
One thing to be careful with. The Stradale is homologated for 2 seats only. Therefore that car will have had rear seat belts added as well as the extra rear seats. You should check if the car is registered as a two seater still and whether this can or needs to be changed. Also you would have to inform your insurer that the car is modified and will therefore probably affect the cost so worth a call first to check the implications.

Yes all of this, and the MOT might be interesting! One thing to be careful with. The Stradale is homologated for 2 seats only. SJC,I'm sure the vendor will be able to provide you with the relevant data, and if it checks out so much the better,if not then clearly you'll move on.Personally my hunch is that if this was modified at the factory it'll be fine.Either way ,after only a few days and a few hundred miles I'll admit,I can't recommend the car highly enough. It's just so full of character and life.In a fairly grey world it's such a colourful car.I hope it works out for you.

Cheers Gunner, rather oddly it was done by the dealer themselves only a month ago.If it was commisioned by the first or second owner and they'd sold it on I'd be more comfortable.I think at this stage due my own paranoia about insurance/MOT/resale etc means I may sit back for a while and watch, rather than buy.A late MC with the Stradale software updates as mentioned earlier in the thread seems seems a safer bet.SJC,Fair enough.Of the cars out there I've obviously seen the red, unused mc stradale at Lancasters which is gorgeous but I'm guessing pricey just because it's unused. The black car at Rybrook where I bought my Mclaren is absolutely lovely, and the salesman there,David Tibbets is a top man and always keen to do a deal. And there's a white car at HR Owen which I've seen briefly and which was nice and well priced.Either way,not that I'm predicting some uptick in prices, but there were never many made, and not many good ones available, and even though it's clearly not everyone's cuppa,it seems the motoring fraternity generally is starting to realise that there's a bit more to the MC Strad than people realise (Trofeo shell,599 GTO box,Enzo seats, incredible ceramics etc)...I have obviously put my money where my mouth was and couldn't recommend highly enough, but personally I'd not hang around too long.Come the Summer I can see a bit of demand for these at the pricepoint they've now reached...
