No, that one is the ex Paul Stewart and Liam Howlett F1, chassis #023; it kind of looks the same, but hasn't got the same lights and only part of the HDF kit whereas TH's one he's just sold has both of those

Ah, OK. I didnt realise the car in the pic was the TH one.

I don't know much about the F1 but did notice that the TH one had more aerodyanic styling than the SA one.

Hmmm! Not quite sure, I have not pondered too much on the matter. Either way it does not sit comfortably with me having people know who owns certain things. Its not ethically correct. Maybe I am a little old school for this? Information and car history is one thing but names is something I am personally against. Some will back me on this but the majority will probably not.
I think Peleton is the same as me - he wouldn't mention an unknown name, but if it became public knowledge then it's ok to mention. Like the Zonda HH for example.

That picture is about four years old but at the time #059 which Tom has recently sold shared the garage with GTR #14R. Either with the same owner, or that owner's son from what I have gathered. In early 2011 Tom sold the GTR to some guy who (and I don't want to mention any names... winkwink ) was formerly a McLaren employee and now makes slippery things in his mind for RedBull Racing.

In the neighborhood of just over 10,000 is the best answer I can offer. That info dates to July 2011 and was fairly vague at the time anyway.

Did Tom sell the orange GTR? I thought that was Dion, Elms Collection? Also, was it repainted after DK got the wrong shade of orange all over it?

2 seperate orange GTR's = Dion sold #16R, TH sold #14R

Unsure as to your other question - here are some pictures of it getting that paint http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showpost... and the owners reasons as to why http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showpost...

From what I recall and I stand to be corrected, the 'LM' engine isn't really a completely different engine. I think that it has a raised rev limiter and some slight alterations to the intake system.

Performance wise not a huge difference to be honest, just a nice thing to have.

Chris
A decatted exhaust might help the standard car, like the one autocar tested.

A decatted exhaust system will no doubt fail MOT. Emissions will go through the roof

Andy - at what stage do you become tempted to sell your Lark car? £3m? £5m. £10m? Surely at some point it has to be a case of the car becomes too valuable to use? Or perhaps not!!

Do the insurance company keep loading up your premium given he obvious increase in value of the F1? I assume you're on some sort of Chubb Masterpiece type policy, but even so the premium must be affected (you don't buy an F1 to go slow, right.....?!)

I think the value of it has made it more difficult to use. Also the car is now in as new condition. No plans to sell it at the moment, just hope to get bit more use out of it next year as it was away 8mths this year and weather been crap since back.

Re insurance, its goes up with the value of the car.

Andy, I'm being nosey so feel free to ignore if you don't want to answer. But, without being too precise, can you give a ballpark figure for the F1's annual premium - four figures or five? Again, only in general, how does it compare with insurance for your Zonda or F40?

Thanks, interesting.

I have a space downstairs if you need someone to look after it.

Obviously without going into details I assume that you have to have some fairly serious secrurity at your place!!!!!!

F40 cheap to insure as can get it on a classic policy. Zonda about 2x the f40. f1 is about 4 the Zonda.

These cars are practically theft-proof. Not much you would be able to do with one given that there are essentially two places in the world to get it serviced and really just one to buy the tires from. A number of people keep track of who owns them and so shifting a hot one would be near impossible.

The ever increasing values, high cost of damage repair and the number of cars that have needed repair due to errors of judgement/no safety net are going to be the biggest factors here with insurance.
