Stunning. The clean lines of the (near) original appeal to me so much.
For me also - so much nicer than the later cars.

Congratulations!

bowclap What can I say. You sir are a man of great taste. As others have said the early cars have a purity that is missing in the latter ones. That car does appear to have a couple of update like the F wheels and mirrors, could you please confirm the full spec for geeks like me. Also it would be great to hear from an owner your driving impressions

Congratulations on your latest acquisition. You've got us all excited now. Silver is the colour. If a Ferrari needs to be red then a Pagani needs to be silver. Such a mesmerising car. Especially love the original spoiler. Much more artistic and imaginative than the F spoiler.

You've inspired me to work even harder (and smarter). Thank you.

Hope you have tons of fun.

Congratulation HPO. Your car is truly stunning. Would it be possible to get the specifications posted? Be really interested to understand what upgrades have been carried. As has been mentioned previously, I love the original spoiler.

Many congratulations once again.

I guess the list of updates are as follows (may be one or two missing, but figure it helps HPO speed things up, wink ).
  • Zonda F mirrors
  • Zonda F rims
  • Start button on gearstick
  • Carbon air box
  • Rear silencer
  • Rear suspension
  • New diffusor
  • Rear-parking sensors
  • ECU to F spec

It depends what you mean by Silver. Yes, a lot of the early cars were silver, but most S Roadsters are yellow (relatively) and most F Roadster are carbon for example. Generally Zondas are very nice because they suite so many colours, and also are missing that tradition of one colour that everyone orders.

What I wrote about the car’s colour was not meant to be taken seriously. It was just playing on the old adage of red Ferraris, basically saying you can’t go wrong with silver but if Paganis were to have a “trademark” colour then silver would be a good choice (Pagani tend to use silver press cars as well as silver cars for their official illustrations).

You’re right though NRS. Zondas look great in all sorts of colours although I’m not really a fan of bright coloured Huayras. I think the yellow one in Geneva looked hideous. As they say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I wouldn’t complain about the colour if that car was given to me as a present/reward or just handed over to me by the owner after he gets sick of it. If only.

Thanks for all the comments. It really is a cracking car and I have just returned from a rain sodden Goodwood, and it didn't miss a beat.

The list of upgrades looks correct (thanks NRS). For me, they are a sensible balance between retaining most of the originality of the S, but with dynamic improvements from the F. The F mirrors, wheels & rear ducts also all look fantastic. The car has also had an uprated clutch fitted.

To drive : it's exhilarating but unintimidating thanks to progressive power delivery, direct well weighted steering and faultless handling (so far !). Every straight looks like the Mulsanne due to the cockpit view - just road & the wing mirrors. Above 4000 RPM the car is savage, although the revised rear silencer on mine has muted the noise, so I need to look at options on that.

All in all : fantastic.

bow

You were spotted as you left Goodwood by my mates. I was working, so they sent me a video to make me jealous.

If you are available on Sunday 23rd November, would you like to bring it to my Beaulieu event? You will see from the thread on the South Coast Forum, I've been hoping to get a Zonda to this!!! In fact I'm trying to get as many incredible cars to this as possible!!!

Please checkout my profile for a quick glance at the details. I'm not allowed to share the link around, so hoping others can help me share this for a good cause.

If anybody else reading this would like to come, please take a wander over to the South Coast Forum and add yourself to the list. It might even be a crisp, dry, sunny day!?

Cheers thumbup
