Three screws under the door mirrors....anyone know what screwdriver I need? It looks like something I won't have in my kitchen drawer. Thanks in advance.

Fairly common problem. Mine need doing every couple of years.

The 3 screws that actually need tightening are inside the mirror housing and require a small cross head screwdriver.

Go carefully. It's easy to strip the plastic threads!

Hi Graham,

Here's a great guide to tightening the mirrors.

Indeed, and as the threads are all part of the mirror, if you break the thread housing, its a new mirror required. And they aint cheap. Mine disintegrated due to regular swivelling the mirror in to get into my garage. Ferrari told me that you should only swivel the mirrors very occasionally, as they're not designed or strong enough to cope with it regularly, as evidenced by my experience and others it would seem.

What year car is this mirror?
My 07 Spider mirror looks different on the inside.
Outside 3 screws look the same.
I have to swivel both mirrors to get in & out of my garage...

I don't think the mirror design changed during the F430's 2005 to 2010 production run.

While you are in halfrauds buying your torx tool, buy some low-yield thread lock. Remove each of the internal screws and liberally coat with thread lock before refitting. It won't come loose again and will add strength to the feeble fitting lugs inside the casing...
