The problem is everyone loves there Strads, the market is only going in one direction for good RHDs so there's no motivation to sell.

I'm hardly using mine this year, I know it's criminal ! but one track day and one small euro trip and that'll probably be it, any other car it would have gone, but right now it's the cheapest car I'll ever own and it's there when I get the opportunity.

At the very least it looks great in the garage biggrin

I want a RHD car. Would probably pay £100k plus for a good car. I guess the winter may bring a few cars.
You 12 months too late. Between those that have gone overseas, poor examples, you are now looking at small numbers of very good rhd cars, and almost no one wanting to sell. Hence why more lhd coming in. I turned down 130k for mine last month. I don't know of any owners looking to sell, and most are in for the long term. You must have enough contacts through the dealership for some owners.

Just for the record I will be happy to sell mine for £130k laugh

That's a good question. Is it possible to find out the number of CS registered in the UK? The 'How many are left' site only lists Modena figures as far as I know.

At 120k£ it's not cheap. I would go LHD in that case...which has other advantages: easier to track across Europe, cause UK tracks doesn't seem very noise friendly with those.

Mine has not moved far now for 5 years. Bought new in 2004 and coming up to 4000 miles now. Hoping that it is my pension fund and when im too old to be able to get myself out of the drivers seat it might fetch 150k. To be honest although it is fun, it is not as good as the Scud and feels very very slow compared to the 458, and when the 458 Scud lands it really will feel like old hat. Its just the noise that is incredible . Having said all that it will still end up being the only car i have kept forever and the one i feel most attached to. I adore the 458 in every way but it would be a hard call if i had to choose - testicles or CS!

did over 30'000 miles in my first stradale including trackdays, nurburg and 5 trips around europe, sold it due to a divorce and later purchased a Scud. The scud is faster, more modern and a fantastic interior but and its a big but, it was no were near as exciting to drive. There is something very special about the strad, a very involving drive, the noise, the gear change, the brakes, the looks and did i mention the noise?

i was very fortunate to find another RHD low mileage strad recently, took it out for a blast yesterday and my god it was fantastic, had the biggest smile on my face and wanted to drive it all day! considering my other cars include a Mclaren MP4-12c also, the strad still wins every time for enjoyment and excitement. it has all the power you could ever need and use on the road and is truly special.

Offers in excess of 150k for mine and even at that i would need some convincing to let it go and I would regret it if i did..

There are no RHD Strads available at the moment but this looks like a pretty decent LHD one for sale. However, I think it has been on the market for some time.

Is it just the price putting buyers off?

http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/f...

I'm asking as still thinking of bringing a LHD Strad back with me from Switzerland. Or rather, I had decided not to do so...until this beauty came onto the market last week:

http://www.autoscout24.ch/de/d/ferrari-f360-coupe-...

My favourite colour (Rosso Scuderia), one-owner Swiss car, sold by F dealer, just 5000 miles. Would only need a stripe.....

£ 135 000 inlcuding VAT plus any conversion costs is not a very viable equation or am I missing something

CHF 140k is (after haggling) more like £95'000. No UK VAT (so long as I have owned and used it for 6 months when we move - and keep it for 12 months after moving - not a hardship I hope).

I don't know about the conversion costs but I believe that if you go to the right place they are not extensive.

Just time of the month I reckon. There were lots around last year including a few that were eventually withdrawn because they didn't sell even at attractive prices.

A friend of mine sold his only in sept last year for £75,000. It was up for sale at Foskers for over a year and sold only after dropping it by 10k. It was as good an example as any that I have seen, better in fact condition wise than some I have seen at 90k+ with plenty of recent work under its belt. It was on pistonheads for many months.

I need someone to talk me out of buying a CS!

I've been looking for cars for sale over here (US) the last couple of days, after reading this thread.

Selling my place in London and will have lots of equity and nothing to do with it (have other savings, elsewhere).

I'd like a CS before we have kids and there a couple of TDF cars for sale here that look great, though one is a little miley.

It feels like the only Ferrari I can afford that (ok, it's speculation) would minimize depreciation or be roughly cost neutral.

Now, I could stomach any costs, but it needs to be justifiable in my own head! And to my missus... Though she's being very annoying and I'd like to keep free cash away from her, as well!

I thought about selling mine a few times and started looking at all sorts of other alternatives, but always come full circle and can't find anything for anywhere close to the money that would do the same for me. Its just such a special car. The only thing I could imagine doing anything similar would be a 16M or F40 but obviously the latter is several times more expensive. Scud is more accomplished but just doesn't do it for me and while the 458 is an amazing car and technologically miles ahead, its still one in a line of "standard" Ferrari's compared to the strad, scud, 16M, etc which are limited edition cars and future collector cars. If 250 Lusso's were still closer to £150k, that would be no brainer for me as I think the Lusso is simply stunning, but they're not! For the money there is little that comes close to the strad.

I think about shifting mine on but likewise with previous posts I like the car hugely and see no real replacement in the same ball park in tems of cost other than maybe a 16M. It would be a tough call when 458's get to 100k which will be next week at this rate.

My only concern and warning about CS ownership really is the brakes are in excess of £10k to replace. I think they are the same as the Enzo brakes which is cheap for a car worth £600k but expensive for a CS at circa £100k.

The bottom line is id prefer to have a second car on a rolling change process and hang onto the CS throughout more than upgrading to a more expensive car and losing the CS.

How many miles did this car have? Most that appeared to be £90k+ last year IIRC?
