I looked at buy a CS in Germany ages ago. Earmarked a few cars asked for service history, damage etc. 1 of the cars I looked at had 30,000 euro's worth of damage. I am 99% sure it's now in the UK.

133771

Might help someone.

What does 133771 mean? Does it relate to a car?

Yes, but no mention of the damage in the ad at time of writing. Hard to imagine they don't know about it. I trust they are making that clear if the question is asked. smile

If this car sells that the asking price (assuming the buyer is actually told it had significant damage) then this will mean that non-damaged and "clean" LHD CS prices will get a boost. At least theoretically?

I personally am quite put off at the way they have not disclosed this. They had the chance in the ad which is quite detailed. I would hope they would do the right thing even if not asked a pointed question. A little search shows they have a slightly mixed reputation?

Just to clear that one up a bit, I work at Amari and yes we were made aware when buying it that the car had been into a gravel trap.

It had undertrays replaced and had paint, but no body panels replaced. We bought it as we buy on condition, and the car is in great condition. The paintwork is in the history for any customers to see, so nothing to hide.

Most CS's have been on track so run that risk, and I dare say most have had paint at some point too.

We sold another CS last week, which had also had paint, it was a lovely car.

Fair enough and given that 99.9 % of car ads fail to mention something their position seems not unreasonable

Wow! Really? Not trying to be difficult here, but this is a dealer that has a number of £100,000+ cars for sale. I think the standard I apply here is rather higher than the chap selling a £4,500 Golf down in the classifieds. It's a pretty big omission, which doesn't in itself suggest anyone is a crook or harm a sale but it's certainly not going to help. This should have been volunteered - there is no doubt about that. I would ask why it wasn't (very politely)? smile

What about the other cars they have? What's not been mentioned there?

I've been trying to buy a CS for a while now (but sadly my budget means I've probably got to really luck out) and I can see how detailed, even paranoid the UK market is. I've got nothing against a car that has been repaired to top spec, but I would expect to have been told about it without asking.

Reedman, was it really EUR 30,000 btw of damage? That's a big bill for just underpanels.
I think most people would wait till the customer asked

Dont worry, I completely understand your side of it.

Its very common for these sorts of cars to have had paint, wether it be the front end to get rid of stone chips or other larger jobs. I dont think any dealer lists that cars have had paint, but if asked we will happily disclose the information.

If it had serious damage, then yes its the sort of thing that would be mentioned up front, but we wouldnt have bought it then!

EUR 30,000 does sound like a lot! But its scary how quickly bills can add up on these cars. We were told that it was underpanels and paint only, and upon inspection we have no reason to suspect otherwise. I would be happy to show anyone round the car too.

Yes if It was relevant or needed I keep copies of everything.
Might have been 29733.

The dealer was open about the damage. Undertrays, all the glass, respray, new wheels and a list of other bits.

Just to confirm you'd like me to upload the body shop invoice for the Ferrari 360 Stradale chassis number ZFFDT57B000133771

Certainly would like to see it please. This thread is sort of becoming a CS record as such, so more detail the better. Cheers James.
