I'm with you Roygarth, with the best will in the world modern cambelts don't fail after 1000 miles and/or 2-3 years. Likewise I'd rather buy a car that had done 3000 miles a year and had it's oil changed every year or two years, than a car that does 250 miles a year but is religiously serviced. The problem is the Ferrari used car market doesn't work like the Porsche used car market, it's a case of play by their rules or feel the pain in your wallet come resale time it seems.
Agree you can't argue with the market, however daft it may be! Having said that I think the service history obsession is more pronounced on these forums than in the wider Ferrari market. This is based on what I'm told by the the few high end dealers I know.

Hi, contrary to what their ad says, the LHD car at Dick Lovetts is 50k KM's, not 50K miles. Asking price is £119K.
Wow! £119K for a LHD 360CS with 30K miles?

So when will LHD CS hit £200k? :-)

I had rare medium racing seats in my F430 but I'm only 5'9" 11 stone 32" waist and small build. They were perfect figure hugging for me and when I looked up the difference compared to the large it was circa 10mm on the base width and 15mm in the upright.
Minimal difference but a tight fit. I would expect the CS seat is similar in which case large maybe better for you

Thanks. How do the medium seats compare to those on the LP570 ? I find those snug but acceptable, apart from the lack of backrest adjustment.
Well it finally arrived and despite being tall and 16 stone, the mediums are very comfortable - which is a big weight off my mind (no pun intended). The car is absolutely mint and as described by the dealer in Switzerland. Big thumbs up and recommendation for Sport Auto Staub.

Pics to follow, if I can stop myself driving it.

Jules360, glad to hear the medium seats are OK and by coincidence, I collect my LHD CS with medium seats on Friday from the Netherlands and I am a similar size to you! When I test drove the car a few weeks back they seemed fine but let's see whether a 3 hour drive to Blightly changes my mind. R, CMD

Here it is.... Makes a fantastic noise and the gearbox isn't as bad as i expected after the 458. The car is mint, not a scratch anywhere. The steering does't feel as precise as the 458, perhaps a few adjustments are necessary and a slight knocking noise from the front driver's side suspension. Getting it into a local specialist next week for a thorough check over.

Hi, I'm assisting with the purchase of a CS (again, when will I ever have my own!). I've been out of touch of the market for a while and going to the classifieds, I'm seeing some cars that have been up a while - makes me wonder why they haven't sold and I was hoping there was some knowledge here?

We're in the market for an LHD car but my concern is that prices seems to be rather higher than 9 months ago. 2 cars are up at the £130,000 mark from what I can see and they are both non-red. Are the previous owners on here? Does anyone know from experience what the "best" cars in the classified are and what is actually still around? £130,000 seems quite steep even if those two cars are under 10,000 miles.

Hi, Mr911.com has sold a few LHD cars, might be an idea to go check out the two he has.

Thanks AMOS, I will do. I've had a look at his website and the red car has sold (PH classifieds out of date it would appear).

But the yellow one with Mr 911 is available and just in apparently. It looks really good but I'm not quite sure we can stretch quite as high as that. Do you know this car and have you seen it?

If you believe what's being said on the forum, cars were selling left and right but there are still cars that haven't sold, like the Dick Lovett car and the Amari car. Makes me worry a bit (I'm advising here and it's not my money, so I'm more nervy than I would be with my own) that maybe market has cooled? If it were my cash, I'd be quite confident but it's not so I feel more worried oddly!

Thanks for the helpful link. I don't suppose you have a graph to hand? (cheeky request I know!). Something along the lines of timeline since last year, mileage of car and price?

No problem, the yellow one only has 8k, it may be worth paying a premium for such a low mileage car. I've not seen any of the cars listed in person so can't comment on condition.
Car's are selling and some off the radar, you only got to look at the one's I've captured to see what has gone recently.
DL car has high miles, so assume that's why it's not shifting, but should come with satisfaction of Main dealer warranty.
Sorry no graph. ideabiglaugh

Been told the Amari & 4 Star Classic cars are not selling after interested parties have had thorough inspections carried out. Basically if a car is not selling at what appears to be the right price there is a reason. Suspect DL are reckoning eventually, as market is rising, they will get the asking price eventually.

Well, the Amari car was discussed at length in this very thread and was found out. EUR 30,000 of damage apparently. The 4 Star Classics has not been discussed much at all, but IF it is indeed less than perfect (I agree with you that time on the market would suggest this) it was a teeny bit silly of PH to stick it up as the poster boy of the £200,000 CS revolution wink!

I think it really just comes down to the yellow Mr911 car then. I know from previous posters and threads that he has sold a number of CS' and fairly swiftly. So, I think it is safe to assume those would have been good, straight cars so I would assume this one is too. I'd be recommending a PPI but it's not in budget! It would appear the days of the "bargain" LHD CS are well and truly over. I sourced one for EUR 81,000 on the Continent last March - you can't find one for less than £110,000 that is worth buying now.

Feel slightly bittersweet about the whole thing, given that when I bought at EUR 76,500 there was a lot of talk about how European service history just wasn't good enough and a European LHD car with the average numbers of stamps (bi-annual at best in my experience) would be dead in the water here. It would appear that there's been a bit of 180 degree swivel in terms of attitude to LHD cars and the usual/normal service history they come with.

So, I've helped buy one at a great price but am struggling to do anything near this just 12 months later. It is a little frustrating!

Car has been sold. Plus, the price was quite fabulous EUR 150,000!

Edited to say thank you!

Here's one in Paris, miles slightly high, but seems cheap.

It's my understanding that the four star cs ph wrote about sold a long while back. Not sure you mean this car because his website has no cs listed currently. What was wrong with it by your accounts? I saw it and thought it was a good car?

Glad to hear it's sold. Only passing on what I was told admittedly a few months back and didn't realise it had now sold.

Yes. Unfortunately they are one of those annoying dealerships who keep ads up months after the cars have sold.

Might be keeping the advert up as he has another cs to sell.
