I think a lot of the comments on this thread are just wrong!!

I was lucky enough to be there and I can tell you it was one of the coolest things I've ever seen.

I like many of the other guys around that day waited for up to an hour for the owners to return to see these 2 beautiful cars drive off, and well it was worth the wait.

The owners obviously noticed that his cars created a lot of attention and I think he gave everyone that was watching a real treat!!

From young boys to old women they all loved it!!

And as for this comment

I guess the difference is 99% of the people there aren't petrolheads.
I don't think you could be further from the truth, everyone there with their cameras etc are more of a petrol head than many on here, yea so maybe they can't afford a 200k car but at least their following their dreams!!

That's all I gotta say

The guy in the white Aventador didn't look impressed, why, because everyone around there now believes he is a cock as well.
All those people in London who didn't like the cars revving, now have a downer on supercars and their owners.
So more hostility when you want a quiet evening out, car keying and general abuse, well done tossers.

I think you may have taken the phrase a little too literally...

From looking at his other videos he just appears to be a huge show off.
Which teenager in his position wouldn't be a show off? He has access to some incredible cars.

I love super cars as much as the next fellow, but it would get VERY tiring living on the streets around Harrods with that going on. As for Shmee, I think I know what he is up to with all of this. Deliberately encouraging super cars to rev all day long in hopes of lowering the house prices so he can bag himself a bargain, that's what! wink

Some revving is a laugh, but they just looked like total attention wes. Those spotters who chase after the cars like flies looked cringe worthy too.

Agree with the post above, a quick couple of revs is harmless, however, starting the cars outside somewhere like Harrods with people outside socialising etc the revving the bks of the cars from start-up is stupid... continuing to rev for the next few hundred yards also. People would rather it accelerate make one big noise and be gone I think.
Then revving constant for as long as they did does themselves and the car no favours. I belive they have to park up and let them cool down as they were getting way too hot, wonder how this effects the car having only driven about 5-600meters?

WOW, crazy watching the kids chase after the cars! tbh, there are much better uses for an Aventador, and here's one of them!

There is a difference between 'posing' and showing off/bragging about wealth.

My point may not be immediately clear from viewing the one video, but upon watching some of the others and reading what the lad says on Twitter/Facebook I think you'll agree/understand.

I'm referring, for example, to images of his parent's driveway - full of supercars - with captions such as, "hmm which of my cars to take out today."

My opinion of course. I'm not arguing or 'hating', merely giving an explanation for my original statement.

"Dad, can you take a picture of me shaking hands with the Ferrari salesman so I can make people think that it's mine?" I think he'd gain a bit more respect if he just admitted that they're his Dad's cars and his Dad's company, and he's just lucky enough to drive them. He just appears to be a bit of a bell end, referring to the cars as 'mine' all the time, and posting motivational quotes about hard work and all that.

Each to their own, but, to the other poster, if seeing two cars revving is the best thing you've EVER seen then just go to Wilton House for your thrills instead.

If it was 2 250 SWB doing that, by two 60 year old men, I wonder if the responses would be different.

1. They're just kids being kids. Obnoxious yes - deeply inconsiderate yes - but no big deal really - they're just youngsters.

2. The lads following them around with cameras are just kids who love cars too. No big deal either. I did the same as a teen.

3. The problem is, when YOU drive past the same area in your Aventador, with your girlfriend after dinner and either
a) get mobbed and attacked by angry (deaf) residents.
b) get mobbed and attacked by car-mad kids expecting more of the same.
c) get mobbed and attacked by both of the above.

My God, it would be SICKENINGLY embarrassing. Toe-curlingly, horribly, disgustingly embarrasing!!!
Certain cars lend themselves to that kind of behaviour too. Lamborghinis the most!

Ashamed to say it but, I don't live too far from there and my fragile male ego wouldn't be able to deal with it! The LP700 is a fab car (which I don't own) but I'd take an SL63 down there instead and leave the LP700 for another time.

Or two Corsas with big exhausts?

Problem is as pointed out above. Good in a car meet away from places. Bad when in the same place all the time and makes a problem for those who do not do this but have nice cars.

True, but corsas sound crap, Aventadors and 250s sound good.

Just thought the opinions might differ if the car was seen as 'classy' rather than flash, or if the owners were seen as connoisseurs rather than posers.

Aleem Iqbal, son of Salim Iqbal who owns Platinum Executive Travel (PET)

The 'story' goes he started off with one RR Phantom (RR56 PET) in 2006, fair enough, but how do you start with a fleet worth £300k one year, and end up with one worth over £3 million just 7 years later? What's the secret? I've also seen a picture of him as a youngster (circa 2003) posing next to his dads 360 and M3, so clearly he'd done something previously.

On the other hand, I'm glad he shares what he has for others to enjoy, and if you watch the R8 V10 Spyder 'review', when the old fella comes out to take a look he seems like a decent guy, a little arrogant and flashy but wouldnt you be if you were 19 and had access to cars like that?
