Some posters on YouTube *speculating* the Lambo may allegedly have been doing 25 - 35mph?
Acquaintances of the driver no doubt, in case the Insurers take a look at all the online comments/pictures - which of course they will. Obvious to most people it was going faster and was still accelerating hard before the collision. Feel sorry for the Mazda driver, you don't expect a matt-black stealth assassin to be coming down the road at that speed. Had his mate behind him so no doubt they were both having a bit of a hoon, especially with his reputation.Looking at him, I would think that he was well inside the speed limit and driving sensibly. His friend, in similar attire also.
Perhaps they were on their way to church, having delivered some 'meals on wheels'.
There's no way they were just showing off...I mean thats the beauty of a car like that in London. Made for driving.
I saw this chav mobile in a multi story behind Harrods a week or so ago. Illegally parked in a reserved space. He had a ticket.

I'd speed bump every 4 metres right around that area.

Not making specific reference to this particular car/smash/owner but have you ever considered that these cars are just "transport" for some owners? "DRIVING" as per the PH understanding of it, doesn't come into it. These cars may as well be a Nissan Micras used for popping to the shops (Harrods) for some of these guys (esp in London). And perhaps they've got a 300ft Feadship berthed in Sardinia if they want to show off.
Just a thought....

There are obviously supercar owners in central London who are minding their own business and driving their cars to a destination. And perhaps they've got a 300ft Feadship berthed in Sardinia if they want to show off.

The problem is a growing number of people doing tt laps around Knightsbridge, causing a right nuisance for local residents. I was driving through Chelsea the other weekend and was cringing with embarrassment at the tool in a Maserati GT behind me revving the nuts off the car in a residential area constantly (presumably trying to get me to do the same). The standard of driving is laughable too - I've watched someone in a Veyron spend about 5 minutes trying to reverse bay park into a space for 4 cars next to Harrods. I've also had car spotters push me out the way to get photos whilst I was kindly opening the engine bay to a Zonda for them.
I'm not trying to cast dispersions about groups of people here. There are some great "car spotter" folks about in London, I've met Shmee before and he's a top bloke with a really interesting career. I myself spend a nice sunny day wandering around looking for rare bits of exotica to snap. It's just a few drivers and a few spotters that let the rest down and don't have any awareness of others around them. Much like with anything in life, a few can spoil it for the majority.
Personally I'd like to see the police slapping ASBOs on people ragging it round town - although I'm not sure what difference that's gonna make to a Sheikh.

Shouldn't the mazda not pull out until clear?
Have you driven in London? Or that particular street? If you wait for a totally clear road you'll be sitting a long time. What you don't expect are lunatics hammering it down the road...anyhow very bold claim to say lambo guy hammering anything here

It appears he was speeding. The guy clearly has past history of driving like a complete arse in central london too, which obviously isn't helping.anyhow very bold claim to say lambo guy hammering anything here
I'm blaming Lambo driver more than I'm blaming Mazda driver.

As for the comment on driving in London - I think I'll ignore that.
If you don't think he was going fast (for the road and its location) then please explain how he managed to get air-borne? He was either going too fast or he made no effort to slow down and tried to drive around the Mazda. At the very least he wasn't driving with an awareness of other road users. If he'd knocked down a child would you have been so defensive of his driving antics?
With the examples of idiotic driving around that area by albeit a select few this was an accident waiting to happen. I hope he and his friends have learnt a lesson although unfortunately I suspect they won't.

In reality, anyone who actually had the business acumen to have purchased a car of this calibre, would not be seen dead doing this.
Sadly, we have the motoring equivalent of a group of Joey Barton's posturing their inherited wealth in the misguided presumption that this, in someway, endears them to the public at large....'init like'
