Two Aventadors revving and spitting flames in London
Discussion
Questionable motives but a great bit of PR for the company.
Before yesterday I'd never heard of that hire company before.
If I lived there, as much as I love supercar's, that would royally piss me off BTW. What this lad should be doing is getting some tuition (assuming he can't handle 700+bhp) and enjoying the roads EVO have just enjoyed in their analogue cars. A video of this has been released today and I'm sure even he can agree that that's the environment for an Aventador not being couped up in London.

Not knocking him, but where others would like to drive the car on the right roads or on track, for others it is a lifestyle. Park up, nice meal, some shopping, trendy nightspots etc...Before yesterday I'd never heard of that hire company before.

maybe good pr, but not that bright if it leads to a change in the law as to what constitutes dangerous driving, causing a disturbance etc...which no doubt it will. Before yesterday I'd never heard of that hire company before.
just need to look a bit further down the line .... and with out the ability to peacock like a complete tool will saving up for months to rent an aventador for just such a purpose for a day be that appealing to the bruv's/cuz's going forward?

No change in the law needed - a section 59 warning notice already covers anti social use of vehicles. So if someone was doing this repeatedly or for an extended period of time then the police do have the power to act. just need to look a bit further down the line .... and with out the ability to peacock like a complete tool will saving up for months to rent an aventador for just such a purpose for a day be that appealing to the bruv's/cuz's going forward?

I do live in central London - and I am constantly having to avoid kids with camera/camera phones standing in the middle of the road filming me. I don't rev until there are flames coming out of the back of my car in town. I am consious of not p*ssing off my neighbours.
Having said that - I love my Aventador - and the sports exhaust!

where abouts do you live? Having said that - I love my Aventador - and the sports exhaust!

i've always thought that the whole noisy supercar knightsbridge thing would detract me from living there, sure most of it is on and around Harrods but I bet the noise resonates much further away?

surely there is enough evidence on that video for a notice to be served WCZ said:

I'm in Begravia in a private mews. The sign at the entrance doesn't seem to stop the photographers trespassing and taking pictures. It is beginning to get under my skin a little - but more importantly - my neighbours are now beginning to complain as they value their privacy. i've always thought that the whole noisy supercar knightsbridge thing would detract me from living there, sure most of it is on and around Harrods but I bet the noise resonates much further away?
When I have time, I always open the door and let little kids sit in the car a get photo's their photo's taken. On one occasion this 12 year old burst into tears - his parents were with him - and they were truely nice people.
So - perhaps I drive a little more consideratley than I used to - as I just dont want to get labelled with the idiots who hare around Belgrave square/frequent London for the summer.
Ho hum - Maybe I'm approching middle age faster than I realise!

People certainly appreciate it - I really appreciated and remember the ride in your SV with the Porsches a few years back, although it wasn't the best evening for you! When I have time, I always open the door and let little kids sit in the car a get photo's their photo's taken. Good on you mate. I was taking a photograph of a lovely shiny Harley the other day over in Seattle, (I asked the biker first), he said "Do you want to sit on and I will take your photograph".A
Now I don't know how those kids feel sitting in your car, but boy! did I enjoy sitting astride that Harley, not a bad feeling when your 66.
He's just a kid, so acts like one. No real surprise. Probably look back att that n a few years and hang his head in embarrassment. Especially when his kids see it,
There are parallels across the age spectrum, from the red trouser' park and show' brigade on the Aston forum to the tyre kicking convoy gatherings in the local little chef. All toe curling. Each to their own

More bitterness and jealousy. Bless.
Not everything is down to jealousy. When I'm older and if/when I own a supercar, I'll think of my success while driving it and that I've earned it.
Fair play to him driving them and having fun, but showing off that much, opening the doors while driving etc is just way OTT
