Was down for Birmingham but can't go now. Car looks better from the articles I have read recently - more photography than the launch pics has shown some very interesting features/angles. I think the car will be a major step up in performance too. The 458 is already a great car so this should be epic.
A point to note, the Fiorano lap time - 1:23.5. Is that a Joke? Faster than 599GTO (not available anymore) but slower than F12 (still available and the flagship). They never went in half seconds before now. Proof that Fiorano lap times are blatant marketing and not really significant?

I am at HR Owen tomorrow night at an invitation only event to see this new car in the flesh or at least a pre release version. Any one here going?
I was invited due to having a 458 in my PH garage but as I live in Australia I won't bother. Saw it at Frankfurt - nice but not enough to justify the upgrade for me. APOLO1 said:
would love a car...placed signed order in Feb....1st on the list, Good buying history of 360CS, x 2, F40, 2X Scud...all sold back to OPC, then the tricks start in July....I hate dealing with OPCs...
Hi Apolo1,I met the manager of HR OWEN at salon prive and informed him i was told a silly story by one of his sales guys at south ken about needing to buy a 458 first before im allowed a 458S, he told me it was hog wash and invited me down to the event this evening, told me i can have a car by Q4 next year. He was also aware this will be my first ferrari.

I can have a car from 3 different dealers. This car IMHO is not a patch on the Scud....I am also of the view that they will fill every order...They can not sell new 458s here in the UK. you can see what is going to happen , they will just ramp up the 458SP. This IMHO will also lose big bucks in a short time. Along with the guys at Woking have car coming out early next year, in the same price range as the 458SP. that will make the SP look like a push bike....That I promise you........
