Bit of a rant - Maserati don't want to sell cars

Not sure if this is the right section, but couldn't find an Italian section of the forum to rant in.
Just been to Maserati in Leeds. I've been toying with the idea of a Quattroporte. This is a pretty big deal for me and I really want to savour the experience.
Walked in and asked if they had any used ones in stock. Was directed to a rude salesman that didn't really want to know me at all. Granted, I was vague and am unsure of which car I want exactly.
I got very little out of the guy. I even asked if all interiors were the same because the used example was a GTS. I wondered if it had sportier seats. The rsponse I received was "they're all different". That was it.
I went over to the car and tried to open the door. I received "they're all locked". Again, that was it. I had to then ask permission to have a look inside. With a grunt, the salesman walked off, followed by a beep of central locking some time later.
I'd like to point out that I've also been to the Manchester branch, which has now given up on Maserati. They were great. They had no stock, but took the time to sit with me and run through options and ideas.
Anyone got any ideas of where would be better for me to try?
Leeds was a horrible experience.
No excuses. ..he is a car salesman...crazy eh.. the clue is in the title. I bet his dealer principal would be over the moon to know of your experience...NOT!Just been to Maserati in Leeds. Well I'd love to be selling them or Lamborghini.

my granturismo came from JCT at Leeds and buying it was pretty painless for me, even though I messed them about a bit umming and ahhing about budget - though that was their fault for having a shinier one in the showroom at just a few grand more than I wanted to spend :-)
have since found Graypaul at Nottingham to be much keener to do the servicing but, when I am ready to change, I will definitely go back to see the guys at Leeds if they have anything close to what I am looking for

I live in Yorkshire, JCT600 are the local dealer. Bought a car from them once 6yrs ago, car was fine, but did not like them as a dealer at all, would not buy from them again. Thumbs up for meridien Modena in Lyndhurst, I have since bought 3 cars from them, even though the other end of the country, latest one is my new 458 spider, so JCT have missed out pretty big with my business.
In general found them relatively rude and pretty lacking in customer service. As an example, the car I bought needed a new rear reflector, it was booked in for a Saturday morning, so I could take the Mrs into leeds on a shopping spree whilst it was being done. They called me up at 6 pm on the Friday evening to say they wouldn't have time to do it!..I said ridiculous to cancel so late on, I have plans. They drafted in someone from another garage to do it after I complained about it. Picked the car up and he had chipped the paint round the lens, the salesman/service manager hadn't even bothered to check it.I noticed it straight away, went back in to grab the brand manager who came out to have a look and agreed it was chipped and apologised, offering a free service next time when it came up, but was ver dismissive about it, couldn't really seem to care that much
By the way the reflector was needed, as despite the Ferrari 1,000 check on used cars, it was missing in the first place, only noticed myself when I got the car home, so again didn't exactly win me over with confidence in them.Few other niggles with them as well, didn't like the brand manager who took my 355 out to check it was ok when P/ex'ing he was very rude & dismissive, changed a lot the attitude once Id bought the new car, but hmmm, found it all a bit false.
Sure many others have had very good experiences, but I had enough to make sure I never use them again, they had enough chances & blew all of them with me

Another Vote for Graypaul Nottingham,Cant wait to collect my new Toy on 1st March, I turned up in my Corsa to buy a new Granturismo.
Salesman James understood exactly what we were about and realises not all of his customers are millionaires, some just happen to have petrol as a priority in life.
Just a quick note to point out that Maserati HQ (and all major manufacturers) will most likely have a service that scans sites like PH for mentions of their brand and report threads with particular negative sentiment back to senior management. If their external affairs/marketing teams are worth their salt, your complaint will already be on someone's desk, OP.
If Maserati have any sense at all, they should be contacting you directly via your user profile to offer you some VIP treatment in hopes you come back with a very positive report. (Just a hint, Maserati, if you're watching, )
Good luck with your purchase OP.

If the main head office is checking the thread...oh and ill put Lamborghini in there also for good measure then yes a nice good car salesman is now free.

I did the Lamborghini page for Auto Italia magazine and had the odd few in the Lambo club magazine.
The book was on a rock band many years ago. I have an article that should be in the next Record Collector magazine also.

That's cool Dave , I expect JCT are already on the phone to you with an offer ? The book was on a rock band many years ago. I have an article that should be in the next Record Collector magazine also.
