I take my hat off to people who park their supercars at the supermarket after getting back today to find someone had scraped a trolley down the passenger side of the lowly MX5 ( which is not that wide ). It was also parked in a disabled spot as I have a broken back and they still managed to hit it....

To be completely safe best to park at the furthest part of the car park where lazy dumbwits do not go to.

Anyone follow Shmee on social media? If so, this week you'll have seen him presumably attempting to set some sort of record for 'most photo opportunities in a Ferrari FF'! Some of the locations certainly qualify as incongruous.

Doesn't work. I guarantee that, even if you park as far away as you possibly can with no cars with in a 50 yard radius, when you come back there will be a battered Fiesta parked so close you can barely open your door and get in.

My sister borrowed my GS a couple of weeks back and when she brought it back, said "it's lovely but I want my car back so I can go to Lidl".

Photo of yours will be mailed to her shortly!

Oh yes, and it's not just in the UK. We're currently on a road trip in Spain in our new road trip specific Boxster GTS - as per our 993 trip in Spain last year, we might as well be driving a lambo for the attention it gets. Every time we get to a hotel or similar and park up miles from anyone, *without fail* there's a battered car next to it when we get back, normally close enough that I have to get my gf to hold the door while I clamber in

That is so true. I had to take a photo of this example - my mate and I parked at the far end of the supermarket car park well away from everyone and yet someone decided that of all the spaces available the best one was next to me (to be fair at least they left room).

Me too.

Perhaps misplaced in the incongruous supercar photo thread, but what a magnificent car.

Given the prices commanded by DS Decapotables, I am convinced that the SM is incredibly under-valued.

Makes any modern supercar look crass.
