Supercar Charity Events 2014.
Discussion
Guys, my little Scouse nephew is now at that stage where exotic cars are more important than girls, school and just about everything else.
He has an Enzo on his bedroom wall and does not shut up about Ferrari and Lamborghini.
I have decided to try and get him to one of the charity events held during the year and buy him some passenger time in some exotics.
Could those who are in the picture/attend such events please be kind enough to highlight the best of the bunch?
I am aware of Dunsfold but not the dates and also, as I am living in Essex, I have also been told that North Weald Airfield hosts such an event.
Appreciate your help.
Scouse/Carl.

Check out the sporting bears website ( http://www.sportingbears.co.uk/ ) for their events. As you haven't said if he still lives around Scouseland, they do an event at Liverpool One which has a healthy smattering of Lamborghini, sometimes Ferrari, Noble, R8, GTR plus others.
There is also the Classic at the NEC around November which has loads of the above plus more.
Lastlym why not pop down to your nearest dealerships? In my experience, they are all very good with kids, and at the very least have always let my son have a sit down, often let him start the engine and rev (458, Alonso edition) and have more than once taken him for a good ride out (Ferrai and Porsche).

Fantastic - he is still resident in Scouseville so the Liverpool One event is a very good option.
Bringing him down to Essex for a long weekend is also easily done so maybe the Dunsfold trip would be on the cards.
If I could get him into an Enzo I think "Ultimate Uncle" status would be achieved.
Edit....................
Lancaster Ferrari have just had a massive overhaul of their showroom here in Colchester.
I suppose a cheeky request for a showroom visit would not hurt - blimey he would probably explode on the spot if one of the staff told him to push a start button.

Hi there, if you are in Liverpool we are hoping to be at Albert Dock on Saturday 31st May, offering our charity passenger rides again.....
Liverpool Albert Dock and as others have said there are lots of events around the country where you can get him an experience, the best chance of an Enzo ride has to be The Supercars Event at Dunsfold...
Liverpool Albert Dock is not a ticket event, where many others we are attending require event tickets to enter, then donations for the rides. Good Luck

Thanks for that info - I am starting to establish many options and will no doubt come to a decision very soon.Liverpool Albert Dock and as others have said there are lots of events around the country where you can get him an experience, the best chance of an Enzo ride has to be The Supercars Event at Dunsfold...

I could try and come up for a breakfast run Carl, work allowing.
The Warren Concourse is on again this year, can't remember the date off the top of my head.
Cheers Brad, if I can get him down this end at a suitable time then I will happily send you a better text than the last one. The Warren Concourse is on again this year, can't remember the date off the top of my head.
If your ever in the midlands with him and willing to stick £50 in the sporting bears charity fund I'll take him out in some cars.
I've always got ferraris and lambos around so can help if needed.
I think we all tend to forget how we were when we were kids fantasising about super cars.

I have spoken to my Sister and it looks like a visit to Essex whilst a PH Essex meet is on will take place quite soon, I will then bring him down again for The Warren Classic.
Dunsfold is his best chance of jumping into his dream car (Enzo) so it looks like Uncle Carl will have his hands full.

Scouse - Not a Ferrari or Lambo, but if you're up at the Sporting Bears at the Albert Dock event I should be there in my 12C. YNWA
YNWA indeed.
Well the 1st PH Essex meet of the year took place today and having spoken to a variety of car owners it seems that the April meet will have a little scouser in attendance - the response from the good people of Essex was fantastic, a big smile will be plastered all over a little face next month.
The best part is that he does not even know it yet, he will be kept in the dark for as long as possible, save us all a lot of earache.
Thanks to all who have posted above, plenty of good info and ideas.
His connection with supercars starts very soon - long may it continue.
Carl/Scouse.
