Indeed. The way Ferrari 'select' customers for their halo cars would preclude a nasty little twunt like Diouf.

Isn't eligibility dependant upon how many models you currently own or have owned ?

Hopefully, it is delayed while they change that stoopid name.

Makes a beautiful noise, though. One of their better ones in recent years.

He owns a 458 spyder and California.
Also a McLaren, Aventador, Veyron and Range Rover.

I guess that's a fair amount ?

To be on the original list for the La Ferrari he will have needed to be a long term 'halo' car Ferrari owner/collector.

Owning other marques makes no difference to Ferrari.

I get that but I guess he has owned many Ferrari for many years, at least since he first started earning decent transfer fees.

I believe there is 1 RHD car, but only 1
that rather mucks-up their line that it's not economically viable to do rhd !

Ive owned 5 Ferrari's, but I can't afford a La Ferrari.

Happy to be proven wrong about this, but I doubt I will be.

Googling him and veyron brings up nothing either FWIW.

No, I was told you had to have 3 Ferraris currently.

I pointed out I had a 16m, 599 gto, and 288 gto. All seemed well.

Then they said, er, you have to have bought them new.

I spent the day with the Ferrari F1 team recently in Bahrain, their marketing girl was saying the same. 3 must have been bought brand new from Ferrari and you must have owned 7.

She told me about one Arab gentlemen who didn't qualify as the cars he owned were older and he dadn't previously owned a halo model, he went down to the dealership that day and bought 3 brand new Ferraris... and was still refused.

they must have tightened it up over the enzo then.

i know a chap who walked straight into a new enzo from a uk main dealer having owned no previous new ferraris... he was a very good prospect though and proved this through subsequent purchases from the brand.

That's right, but I would have thought with his spitting history he'd be hanging on for the ragtop version.
