ferrari sales dipping in the UK?
Discussion
Each new Ferrari carries more computing power than your average inter-galactic space cruiser. Ferrari wants the diagnostic data. For R&D and marketing. A brand's "First Party" data is like Gold dust, only more valuable.
Once a car leaves the dealer network the data isn't visible to Ferrari. So someone at Ferrari must have said, offer 7 years free servicing and don't worry about the cost because the dealer network will carry most of the burden (the hourly rates paid to them is about 20% less than dealers normally ask) and losing the data isn't an option.
Far from desperate free servicing is indicative of how focused Ferrari is, and the importance of data, your data and the car's data. My money is on 7 years being extended, perhaps lifetime for certain models/customers.

It's also going to keep the new models out of the hands of independent garages. I agree it is a calculating move by Ferrari and far from desperation.Once a car leaves the dealer network the data isn't visible to Ferrari. dont think it hits the dealers too hard...... they get work they otherwise might not have...... cars out of warranty for example, and any advisory work for wear and tear items..... to be honest, 'normal' servicing is a load of checks and the odd fluid..... many manufactors sell or give free servicing/servicing packs now..... there must be a catch, they are no mugs are they.....
also, oil bought on ebay, <100£, oil bought from dealer £170, bet in a drum it costs much less....

Ferrari sales are doing well in the UK. It is Europe's largest Ferrari market, ahead of Germany and the rest.
If anything, Ferraris are becoming too popular in the UK. Sprouting up everywhere like red mushrooms and diminishing the brand's exclusivity. Ferrari may be the new Porsche.
Sounds like the usual Bull. At least it's not the new Audi If anything, Ferraris are becoming too popular in the UK. Sprouting up everywhere like red mushrooms and diminishing the brand's exclusivity. Ferrari may be the new Porsche.
