Ah bugger. I stayed at one a couple of years ago with a large gated area at the rear. Nice place, swimming pool on the roof, lovely rooms, near the center of town, can't for the life of me think what it's called. Been googling, no luck yet, will update when I find it.

I've been there every year for the last 12. Mirande is top dog without a doubt. D'Europe charming, but valet parking iirc. The underground city car parks at Palais du Papes and Oratoire are very well run, very safe and well patrolled. Oratoire is a puzzle to get into until you see the obvious. Oratoire closes early (8pm iirc) which is better for safety but less good for convenience. Papes is 24hr.

Hotel Cloitre Saint Louis?

I remember it had a roof top pool but don't recall the car park so we may have been at different places.

Recall it being fairly central too.
