What won the Spa 24 hour race again?

Which cars win LE mans again ?

Odd comment.
Not really an odd comment. If i am going to buy a super car, an important aspect is that it is different to other cars, it has some character, something about it. In my opinion (and that is all it is) any car made by Audi, BMW to any of the major OEMs may well win all the races but they don't have that X Factor. The smaller niche manufacturers have a racing history and smaller production runs of cars that look and feel different. The inside of an R8 is just a bigger TT from what I have seen.

Ah I thought you were exercising your ironic sense of humour. You were the guy who suggested in a post that you'd only buy a car from a company with racing heritage, weren't you?....Which would include Audi but exclude Lamborghini...but I guess you knew that about the latter, didn't you?...

As for BMW....what about the M1...a Supercar if ever I saw one. Oh...they didn't build many of them and yep...they raced them...beyond just the high profile F1driver races too....mind you...they were built by a Supercar manufacturer...and it wasn't BMW smile

I did not say it had the X factor, but Audi now do have a strong racing name. And win a lot.

I am looking to buy a super car and my head said buy the r8 v10plus but as you say it some how does not do it, even though it's the better and now with dsg the faster car than all the others at this price.

People who say an R8 is just a big TT are just haters. Plain and simple. It's like saying a GT3 is just a big cayman. Sorry to use your own chat but a lot if non car people think all porks are 911s of some sort.

I agree with all the comments about buying what gets your blood pumping. That's it. Nothing more. Forget what others think - you will always find people who like it, and muppets who will tell you what you should have spent your money on.

Cant do that anymore apparently :-) ........ health and safety or something
Nah. It's anti money laundering regulations.

But on the original topic. I followed an F430 for a few miles and was hypnotised by the haunches and diffuser arrangement at the rear. Later I nearly fainted when I saw the red plenum chambers through the glass engine cover. I went and bought one the next day and still have it 4 years later!

You just know.
Sometimes there is more heart than head involved sometimes not. But you always know. That's why the spreadsheet you write magically shows it to be the smartest option!

For me it was that I wanted 4 seats, v12 and 200mph. Made it a simple process....

Any recourse to spreadsheets should immediately ban you from ownership. Maybe there's a Which? survey you can refer to? wink

Choose what you've always dreamed of driving. Then drive a couple before buying to make sure the marque & model meet your expectations.
