quick question. Ferrari or lambo say , if car was a concours winner would it be worth main dealer price at a private sale ?
Car in question will be three years old in December out of warranty and needing a service by time not mileage.
So concours car worth more , less or same as buying from main dealers ? What do you all think?
TIA.

Concours car is surely only worth buying if you intend to keep it that way - main dealer car will have proper warranty

That really depend on what you want it for doesn't it?
If you're getting it to just drive I wouldn't see the logic in paying that premium - at only three years old there should be plenty of others in 'almost' concours that would fit the bill for a bit less £££.

For a plain production version I'd say no, but then for a limited model run or numbered special I'd say yes.

Not if it was the concours winner at a local fete. Easy to show up in a flash new car, give it a quick wash and win a prize.

If it was a national concours winner that might be slightly different but TBH most people think my cars are brand new cars right out of the box and in concours condition.

History and condition with proven evidence will dictate price but even then a 2 year approved warranty on ai immaculate but not concours car would get my vote every day.
You could get a stone chip the minute you drive it away and that's the premium down the drain

Sorry correct me if I am wrong here but I own two Concours vehicles, one from 1965 and the second 1990. Since when did a three year old car become concours material, it's a nearly new car, where's the achievement in detailing and showing a new car?

Exactly this ^^

Concours and "show room condition" are miles apart.
