Great vid.Ferrari wisely stayed out, as they knew the Ducati would monster an LF.
Interesting to see the P1 and 918 so slow from 0 to 60mph.

3.0 secs is SLOW? Ferrari wisely stayed out, as they knew the Ducati would monster an LF.

This does make me smile... I LOVE my cars - but - to ride a 'fast' bike fast is to live! Watching the cream of Hyper cars off the line be distanced by the bike is only half the story.... (almost) Anyone can lock a bike down to a fast straight line sprint, but to lay these speeds in to corners is what a bike is allllllll about. Bikes are a multidimensional skill that those who don't venture out of cars will never experience... This is true pilot skill...
Another thing the video didn't mention - the bike also sounded the best!

For a million-dollar car, 3.2 and 3.0 seconds to 60mph is glacial. The £200k Huracan is as fast / faster. And some £50k hatchbacks with a cheap remap next year will be as fast / faster to 60mph (VW R400, MB A45 AMG 2).
I'd wager the Huracan on that day on that surface with one of those drivers wouldn't have gone as fast.Seems to me Bruntingthorpe isn't particularly conducive to absolutely the quickest launches and I doubt Sutcliffe and whoever else was driving are the absolute best at getting a car off the line.

With regard hatch backs being that quick next year with a re map I very much doubt it. If the law of ever decreasing returns applies that extra second off the 0-60 dash is a massively expensive one.

That makes no sense whatsoever.likesachange said:
The koeniggsegg one:1 is quoted to be able to do 0-250 in 20s in this months evo.... Find that very hard to believe!! Astonishing is its anything under 30s to that speed.
Having been shotgun in a One:1 running 'only' 1150hp and on Super Sports not Cups, from around 20km/h up to over 300km/h took a measly 12-13 seconds (on camera) so I can believe every bit of it!likesachange said:
