Hi All,

A mate is looking to buy a Zonda. He has been quoted 1.53% as an insurance quote.
If there any Zonda owners here who could confirm if thats in the ballpark that would be appreciated. Or if you have any reccomended brokers/companies again appreciated.

Also I seem to recall theres a Zonda expert on here (streetrod?), any chance he would be able to pick your brains for 2 mins?

Many thanks

Not quite Zonda, but I paid 1% for an Agreed Value policy on the F40 via Classic Insurance services.

Happy to put you in touch if you need an intro, were one of the only places that would cover me on the F40 @ 32, but also excellent people to deal with.

I would be confident in you getting a 1% rate on a Zonda, particularly if the annual mileage is going to be below 3000pa and the security is good.

This applies to most hypercars with this dropping as low as 0.8% as part of a Portfolio.

A friend used Hiscox to insure his Zonda and all his other vehicles.

Not a Zonda, but on something similar I've been quoted around 0.85% which seems in the ballpark? Excess is £20k, is that 'normal'?

Also, can't get track day cover...is that normal...(probably sensible!)

Well we cant really say without knowing the specifics..

It could be a supra, in which case its rather high... it could be a 250 GTO, in which case i'd be tempted.

Not in that league but I had never thought of my insurance in terms of %, on the Speciale it's .5% and Ford GT .85% through Mannings. They've been great, I live in a very low rated postcode but have 9 points (eeek) and < 30.

A supra isn't similar to a Zonda :-). It's a 918

Indeed.. that's the reason for the analogy.

918 is simple... £7.5-10k. a yr insurance..

Anything more and you're niche or being ripped off!

Thanks. The quote is sub £7k, as part of house + vehicle policy so that seems good.

Seems about right on a car of that value.
