I have an old modified '71 Mustang and I hate to use it in the wet a) because it's difficult to handle with big torque and semi-slick drag rear radials and b) because I can be OCD with keeping it clean and dry! I suppose in the grand scheme of things, it's nothing really special, but I always wonder that if I did have my dream car (Zonda) would I be scared to use it in the wet?

There's a car meet this Sunday at Beaulieu National Motor Museum and I'm wondering what cars will show up if the weather is bad. There is a nice list of cars signed up, but which ones will show up...?
I'm gonna brave it my 'Stang!! driving

I think I'd literally wet myself if I did see a Zonda sat there!?

Is anybody else coming to this?

There is a Yellow 458 I see in Tiptree/Maldon on many a morning, last couple of days it has been so filthy it actually looks unloved - obviously that is not the case, just enjoyed in this particular weather scenario.

R4GE X is the plate, although only on the rear. laugh

Yes, but not my classics. Fezza has been out in the wet more times than out in the dry. Welcome to Yorkshire!

Yes - that's the benefit of an FF - that said - a few raised eyebrows at Knebworth as it was seen parking and driving across the very wet fields to park!

Wonderful.
Turned up once with my Diablo at Lamborghini in Reading (AFN) when Del Hopkins was there and he said "blimey, what have you been doing! Rallying?!"
I don't understand the people who trailer their cars around.........

We don't tend to use our car in the wet but only because we don't want to put a soaking car back in the garage. If we're away from home then it don't matter.

What a great attitude to have! thumbup

Well, Beaulieu was a total washout, but I took the Mustang along and I raised £300 for the Air Ambulance Charity, which was amazing considering the conditions.

I was heartbroken when this happened though...

My OCD is in overdrive knowing it's sat at the garage soaking wet and dirty! cry

Yes I do drive my car in the wet,
Photo shamelessly stolen from another thread but it's the same as my car so I nicked it!

Not really, I only drive my ferrari for pleasure and there isn't a huge amount to enjoy about driving through suburbia in the rain...

I almost prefer driving my GT3 and 550 in the wet, easier to get them sliding around out of junctions and tight corners for max fun (where safe to do so biggrin ) AND easier on the tyres!

I went to Travis Perkins on sat and he asked "where's the Maser".

I replied "The seats don't fold down so I have to collect timber in this one".

I reckon a few bags of cement just means the traction light comes on less often smile

I know a guy who knows a guy with a Zonda and they drove it in the wet.
He said that he could not get it going in a straight line!
