Lets say you're off tomorrow to spec up a Huracan, for the exterior you've decided to go for Verdi Mantis, Lambogreenie if you will. What about the interior? Would you go for the Verdi Fauns?

My LP560 has a lovely bi-colour cream and black, the exterior colour is white and IMHO they work together well, I've owned a Seca blue car with a Seca blue interior in the past and that also looked fabulous but green?
Is it just, you know, a bit too gash?
Could you live with green seats for a few years?

The grey/black interior may not be very imaginative but it works nicely without shouting in your face every time you open the door. Am I a scaredy cat for feeling a little apprehensive about it.

Alcantara with green stitching and some green highlights would look good. Too much green would not in my view.

Great exterior colour though.

I'm inclined to agree and say stitching in green, green is a bit of a funny colour for interiors for some weird reason, the other bright colours seem to work better. I think it will look nice with bicolour but it's definitely bright! Personal preference really, wouldn't put me off it either way as a used proposition.

I asked a few car friends before deciding on bicolour to match the exterior for mine rather than alcantara and stitching but it was 50:50.

There is a couple pics of mantis cars with the bi colour interior if you google it.

Splendid body colour but tricky to choose an interior, I like the burgundy some classic Lotus cars used but grey with green stitching is probably the best .
What about the boot Brad, are going for slats or glass?

Hi br d, what a great dilemma to have. Obviously the choice is yours but to share some experience I had a Giallo 570 with the black alcantara interior and contrast yellow stitching. To me this was the perfect combo really bright and zingy outside, with a cool and reserved inside. I can honestly say each time I sat in that car I would take a few moments just to enjoy the surroundings. The other plus is the alcantara was pristine and didn't sag like the leather seats did after use, I did about 10k miles in each. Wouldn't recommend the suede steering wheel though, too many sweaty palm moments made it a bit look a bit worn.
Love your choice of colour and it will be mine too once I'm back in the UK. Interesting to note there are 4 or 5 advertised in Verde Mantis so it looks like it will be a popular choice. The other plus point is it will be worth more second hand of course!
Whichever way you go enjoy the experience and please share your thoughts.

Personally, I am not a fan of alcantara..... It looks messy and untidy.... plus it suits a race car more than a road car...Anyway....

I like the look of the bicolour elegante in Grigo Octans....

Bicolour green and black, all the way for me, and green stitching on the black bits - stunning

Lambo Sevenoaks has one in green with the green/black interior.

It's waaaaay too much IMO.

I don't think its as good as the gearbox on the 458 tbh (mechanically not aesthetically ofcourse)(-:

I'm going to test drive again. Soon but it didn't seem as smooth!

Interesting.
I haven't driven a 458 but I'm surprised anything could be smother than that Lambo box, it's ridiculously good. Happy to be proved wrong though.

Yea I sort of hope I'm wrong as well, I haven't driven the Huracan on the road yet only on track but let's see. Its a great looking car in my opinion especially in the darker colours.

Nope that's fantastic, and the biggest bit of green is hidden because you sit on it

It's a lambo, you chose a bright green one (and good on you if you did), why get a boring all black interior IMHO

I think a contrasting tan interior would look superb against the Verdi Mantis, but not an option. Modern day performance with a reminiscint nod to the Miura. Looking forward to seeing what you decide on.

I think you can get a bicolour black/tan interior with the Verdi exterior.

Sorry C, just seen this.

You guys on here were right, the dark leather interior with the contrast stitching looked the best I thought, they had a beautiful orange car with that scheme and it worked perfectly.

If I go Lambo then definitely glass engine cover, I think the slat thing is odd looking, the only thing I didn't like about the cars aesthetics, other than that it is just beautiful up close in those shouty colours. The glass isn't available till first quarter next year but I won't be ordering until then and it's a 9 month build time anyway.

Drove the car, had the chat and left it at that for now. Great service and experience from the guys at Sevenoaks as ever but I need to get in the 650s before making any decisions, it's a day off work job though and I am so busy at the moment.

The Huracan seems pretty faultless as far as I could tell from the test drive, a little too good if anything, the super-smooth gear changes, steering feel and perfect weight make it almost remote. Clearly it would be a different thing when you got used to it and learned to chuck it around a bit better. I know people always moan about the clunky feel of the LP's gearbox but I like to know when something is happening, I want to feel the car talking back to me. The Huracan's box (which was frankly phenomenal) sort of detached me from the drive a bit.

Nitpicking I know, it is a fantastic car and heart-stoppingly beautiful in the Verdi. I'm sure the 650 will be equally transparent in it's gear changes anyway so whichever way I go I'm going to have to get used to that.

Oh, and a final edit to say I had a quick look at the Aventador. If I sell a kidney (and two of the other halfs!)and eat only thin soup for the next 5 years I could probably just about get in one, but my god it's a lump! Too big I think to enjoy it without worrying about where you leave it all the time.

Imagine that though, an Aventador, I had to drag myself away from the thing before the sales guy realised I might actually be considering it!

Still, you're a long time dead eh? (No NO NO! Stop it!)
