I agree it's a fab looking thing.

As far as I hear it's LHD only and priced well above the Ferrari 458 and Lamborghini Huracan, but nothing announced officially yet I don't think.

Spoke to a couple of dealers - they're pretty much in the dark about it. I am popping down to one later to "get my name on the list" - but I'm guessing they will be as bad as they were with the GT - which went to a dozen or do UK supplied cars - it was ridiculously frustrating.....

My recollection is for the last Ford GT you had to register with Ford UK HQ (possibly via a dedicated internet page) and then you got a questionnaire to decide if you were worthy ......

Maybe this time its worth talking to Roush/Mountune in the first instance

What a fantastic position both yourself and Anjum are in to be placing orders.

There seems to be a lot of photoshops floating around on instagram at the moment but this is by far the best looking I've seen yet.

Looking forward to seeing how this pans out for you both.

It might be worth filling in the "keep me informed" page on the Ford website (there is an option you can tick for the "All-New Ford GT"):

http://www.ford.co.uk/SBE/KeepMeInformed

Bit more info here:

Thanks for that - will do this as well just incase the dealer messes up or loses the list (as happened when I first put an order down for my R35!).

At least, unlike other manufacturers, they wont look to see what your Ford buying history is and therefore your worthiness..

Cracking looking car and while you are waiting, your F40 is appreciating nicely

I have a strong suspicion this will only be avilable at a few of the new 'Ford Stores'. There will be about 60 'Ford Stores' in the UK and they will be the only ones selling Mustang, RS & Vignale.

Unless the dealer near the OP is owned by Ford (Trust Ford) or is a very large dealer/group I'd imagine the chances of them supllying a Ford GT very, very slim. There is currently no 'list' to put your name down on yet as the car was only announced yesterday.

I work at a very large Ford dealer and we are to become a Ford Store, if you PM me I'll stick your name on a Spreadsheet and as and when I get information I'll get it over to you and of course if I can supply you are car I'd be more than happy to!

I don't know...I've heard rumours you have to have owned a minumum of 5 Mondeos before they will consider you for a new GT!

(Just kidding obviously)

Keep us up to date OP/Anjum smile

Just back from the dealers - registered interest. The dealers have no idea how this works yet! Base on the previous GT - it will be a mess......

I've PM'd rehab - any help gratefully appreciated....

Thanks Mackay. Filled that in just in case it is priced below F458 levels (here's hoping)!

Cannot possible see how it'll be priced anywhere near the 485

I'm sure it's aimed higher and rightfully so with it's carbon tub etc

I thought it was £300K as it $450k

I tend to agree but then Ford pricing plus the cost of McLarens with carbon tubs...? Wishful thinking I suspect!

£300k sounds like the wrong price to me. Pricing will be driven by where they can sell it in the US....I'd be amazed if they sell it for close to $450k!

F12 costs $320k in the US, an Aventador $400k.

Going against the grain on this thread and speaking as an ex Ford GT owner (just sold) I have to say that that rear end is not at all nice.

Twin turbo v6 engine, not NA?

Having spent most of the last two days staring at it, the thing is gorgeous, and it sounds mighty impressive for a V6 too!

I'd be guessing it's the $225k region? Deliveries in the UK late 2016 or so.

I'd like one of these. £100k might be achievable if I save hard. £300k won't be.

I didn't like it the first time I looked at the photos. I'd warmed to it by morning though!
