how about keeping the content of a thread related to the title and setting up a seperate thread called 'I'm great I am' just so I don't keep opening up bks when it pops to the top of the supercar group list pretending to be content I want to read. FFS.
great idea !here you go GRBF430F1 ...

Go drive the Huracan and you will find the answer. No point debating anything unless you have driven the damn cars.
That's what I did. Drew up a short list and flew all round the country to test drive them all before forming my own decision
Only YOU can choose what's right for YOU. Huracan wasn't for me but that's not to say that if a folding hard top lightweight version comes out in the future it wouldn't require a revisit ( but at this stage I would say even that would be unlikely to sway me enough )

Totally agree. The Huracan wasn't to my taste either after an admittedly short drive. Can't imagine why I would choose it over a couple year old aventador at that price point. Having said that the Aventador left me cold after my first run in it (4 hours Italian motorway - quick but could have been in anything), but I did enjoy day 2 driving along the sette ponte chasing a Merci SV and pushing a Gallardo to the point where his MRS was bking him and told him to pull over.
Now that's a much better dialogue.

I test drove the Huracan and was impressed with it, it did everything it should very well and I when you get out of it, it looks stunning ! I'd say the best looking supercar this side of 250k in my opinion. That said I decided to go for the Aventador which to date has been brilliant. When people talk about sense of occasion I'm sure nothing comes close for the sort of money you buy an Aventador for. I have never had such a great reception everywhere I've been in the a Aventador and the day it goes I will miss it!
All that said my next car will likely be the Huracan!

I also loved the Huracan in many ways. The gearbox was sublime, it was fast, surefooted, lovely place to sit in and to stand next to and look at it made my heart pound, gorgeous bloody thing.
However I will be going 650s this time. It may be because my LP560 is just such a competent car that the Huracan didn't feel different enough, a step up certainly but on the same ladder IYSWIM.
The Mclaren feels like something wondrously new and exciting and scrotum flattenly fast.
This of course is probably much more to do with my own subjective perceptions rather than any real-world differences and I do tend to switch marque each time I change cars. I have no doubt whatsoever that if I continue to breath I will return to Lambo at some point in the future.
Let's face it, owning a Lamborghini is a pretty hard gig to beat.

Don't they build them to order? If so I wouldn't have thought over production.
Unfortunately not....modern production lines cost a huge amount to stop and start (and you have a huge amount of fixed costs so you will burn cash if you do stop) so there's a minimum amount of cars they will make. Basically it's cheaper to make cars and sell them below list than not make cars. No idea how Lambo organises itself but for the bigger manufacturers each country and thus each individual dealer gets a set amount of cars and it's there problem if they don't sell them....that's when you get "manufacturer discounts/contributions" or whatever they call it. Each franchise dealer has to sell a certain amount of cars each year and it's there problem if they don't have buyers lined up for them. Cheib said:

Bl00dy hell, was that 200 mph he was doing ? Seemed to be going straight and then just veer off with no steering input for some reason. There was a big bump earlier in the clip which I thought unsettled the car a bit but that seemed to be a smooth piece of straight road with no one else in front ???
Like you ay if they survived at that speed they were very lucky indeed

Perhaps it dropped from 7th gear to 1st like the UK Press Car did at speed??
and what happened to the motor!!I ride a two stroke and cover the clutch at speed but at least I've got one to cover
Anyhow it's discussed (and dismissed) in the story and thread that followed: www.pistonheads.com/news/default.asp?storyId=30976
Not to worry, it won't effect Lamborghini UK, the press team, any journalist nor dealer, only the unlucky bugger that buys this particular car and has a main bearing or major gearbox fail a few months out of warranty (or slides off the motorway at speed with all four wheels locked perhaps???).
Quick one guys, I have just read a feature in this months Car magazine that includes the Huracan on a five day road trip in the USA. Now this is the third review I have read on the car that slams the seats as probably some of the most uncomfortable the reviewer has sat on. Now one review you could dismise, two, we may have a problem here but three in major publications cannot be dismissed. To those that have driven the car what was your experience?
