There's always the option of having the Ferrari delivered to one of your stops enroute so you get some family roadtrip time and then a bit of Ferrari time as well. Win-win!
I did that recently when a planned holiday had to be shortened and with some spectacular last minute service from Alex at Lizard logistics managed to salvage a potential holiday cluster fk and get some quality time with my Scuderia.
Thanks but half the fun is the drive there!

Fair enough but if given a choice of a non Ferrari trip and a a 1/2 Ferrari trip, I'd still take the half, whether for just the drive there, or just the drive back.

Yes very true. I havent had a chance to speak to the wife, as she's been abroad for 2 weeks. Just got back yesterday. We will probably start planning the trip now she's back for April(after Easter).

I also need to do a number of jobs on the car before then, so that will give me a chance to do them. I maintain the car myself so need to squeeze them in over the next 8 weekends!

Me and the good lady have been thinking about a Euro trip for a few years. Not got around to it yet but we have debated whether to take the F355 or the 916 Spider. Both great cars even if at different ends of the price market.

I personally think what ever car you take it matters not a jot if you enjoy driving it. I love both the Alfa and the F355 in their own right. I've done different trips in the UK in both and enjoyed both.

MX5 is a fabulous car to drive, my ex and my daughter have had MKII's and MKIII's smile
