The Daily Mail really is a load of old plop isn't it.
For a start, I've been to Paul's house and had a look around his 11,000 sq ft underground leisure complex with 30 car underground garage.....I'm no surveyor but I'm guessing a damn site more than a million quids worth.
I think they just make stuff up half the time.
Did he have an orange Koenigsegg, gorgeous, bought from a dealer down my way. I understand he was building quite a collection, clearly hasn't stopped For a start, I've been to Paul's house and had a look around his 11,000 sq ft underground leisure complex with 30 car underground garage.....I'm no surveyor but I'm guessing a damn site more than a million quids worth.

I know it is the Daily Mail so there is no point getting too wound up about it, but he is the second person in the wold to have the three, at best. A chap in Holland completed his trio last August.
Two others have pointed out elsewhere that there was a guy is Saudi that completed his set in October at latest and there is potentially someone in China with the set too, completed in December.Shaoxter said:

If you've been to his place and know the address, check the previous sold price on Rightmove/Zoopla? I think all this talk of who's bought what and the trash that is the Daily Mail is a joke. He's only spent a few million on cars. It's a cheap headline. Last I spoke to him he was looking at buying an old F1 car and helicopter, that was ages ago. We haven't even got onto buying yachts and islands yet. In the grand scheme of things it's a shock value story alone and has no relevance to the rest of us, just gawp factor.
My brother works for these guys...... cars are small fry.
In my humble opinion
£28 million?
£1 million house?
Numbers don't add up?
Unless he's invested very wisely since selling his business, I think the Mail might have got the numbers wrong. I'd have thought your wealth would need to be a factor of 10 larger than this to run the Holy Trinity (and Koenigseggs et al in the past).
Fair play to the guy though - living the dream

I actually thought it was quite a good (positive) article from the DM for a change! Even the comments on the whole looked alright.
The numbers don't really matter, the key message is that he's done very well for himself and is enjoying spending the cash, fair play to him.
I guess he will be adding a P1 GTR to the collection as well?

I think there's probably some mis interpretation - potentially due to the DM's wording - as there's no mention of total wealth. £1 million house?

The business was allegedly sold for £28m but presumably this cash will be in addition to substantial wealth already generated from the running of a successful business and other previous investments.
Many people (particularly in the DM comments) seem to be treating the £28m as a lottery win as if that's 'all he's got' and is mad for 'blowing it' on cars.
Hard to get my point across when on a phone but hopefully makes sense
Absolutely living the dream!

Paul had over 30 supercars/top end stuff (inc Enzo, F40, K'Zegg) before he sold his business.
Anyone who's seen Fast & Furious 6 will have seen the 15'odd supercars cars he rented out to the makers of that movie (Aventador, Gallardo, SLS, Enzo, 458, K'Zegg etc etc)
Proper petrol-head, lives and breathes cars. Top man for it.

They're a really nice couple. He took me for a spin in his F40 in 2004 which was a dream for me. He told me he got himself a Murcielago and had to put a sports exhaust on as it wasn't loud enough Anyone who's seen Fast & Furious 6 will have seen the 15'odd supercars cars he rented out to the makers of that movie (Aventador, Gallardo, SLS, Enzo, 458, K'Zegg etc etc)

I think once you're mortgage free and are able to buy these cars for cash, I'd have thought having a fraction of the estimated wealth would be sufficient, particularly if invested well. £1 million house?

Either way, even if he has just £100 more than needed, I applaud him, I'd do the same if I could. And use the £100 to go for a run out!

Unless you're his accountant you might as well stop with this line of posts. You've no idea how much money he has. Its getting a bit silly with people saying he can't afford the cars etc... how do they know? Did he have no money whatsoever when he sold that company, and hasn't earned another penny since?£1 million house?
