£28 million?
£1 million house?

Numbers don't add up?

Unless he's invested very wisely since selling his business, I think the Mail might have got the numbers wrong. I'd have thought your wealth would need to be a factor of 10 larger than this to run the Holy Trinity (and Koenigseggs et al in the past).

Fair play to the guy though - living the dream smile
Unless you're his accountant you might as well stop with this line of posts. You've no idea how much money he has. Its getting a bit silly with people saying he can't afford the cars etc... how do they know? Did he have no money whatsoever when he sold that company, and hasn't earned another penny since?
Exactly my point!

I know it is the Daily Mail so there is no point getting too wound up about it, but he is the second person in the wold to have the three, at best. A chap in Holland completed his trio last August.
Two others have pointed out elsewhere that there was a guy is Saudi that completed his set in October at latest and there is potentially someone in China with the set too, completed in December.
The article was meant to say he was the first Brit to own all three and one of 6-8 people worldwide who will have the set. Do wonder where they got some of their info from for that article!
I think the candy crush guys got all three as well.

Surely, this thread is intended to discuss the cars, not how much money the guy has, or how much his house is worth.

Ah, but is he happy?

And as long as the bike had a current MoT then the plate could be transferred or retained regardless.
Are you the owner of the 4321 GO plate? Is it still home on something blue with matching rim protectors...? If so then I park in the same car park as you at work! A very nice motor!

If he does live in Rutland, then I suspect it will be on Hambleton, in which case the land is probably worth 3/4 times that!

ETA: Does anybody know if he has ever had an F50?
Cant say where specifically he lives for security reasons. But his house is worth significantly more than that - but what do the Daily Mail know (although I believe SuperCar Driver did write a press release for that story)

And yes he acquired a Ferrari F50 at the beginning of this year to my knowledge
So now he has 288 GTO, F40, F50, Enzo, LA F as well as loads of other special things, I have a list of the majority of his collection somewhere (worked out a lot), but he has a lot in storage offsite etc.

Very nice chap, grounded, done well and will talk to anyone really - true petrol head who spends obscene (Y) amounts of money on cars, but why not, you only live once! And luckily for him his wife is a petrol head too so not really restricted on spending either!

In terms of those speculating on his wealth, I don't think anyone in there right minds would spend the amount on cars he has without being financially stable e.g. investments etc.

We don't need details but he is invested in several businesses still, invests, diversifies etc just like I'm sure many of you on here have done as you have began to do well for yourselves. As the saying goes 'money makes money' as a general rule, its just making enough of it in the first place and continuing etc.

Paul and Selena are lovely, do quite a lot for charity and still work hard. He also still works so hasn't just sold up and retired.

The daily mails interpretation is slightly out anyway (in a negative way), and they didn't get the absolute full wack as there were a couple of other very minor shareholders involved.
But like with many big business sales, they had created a substantial amount beforehand (the business was around for 8 years when they sold up) so it doesnt tell the full story - but nor should it.

However, we aren't on here to talk about wealth, assets, investments really. Its about CARS.

And I regularly see him out and about, I generally see him commuting in his 918 spider (yes he has it as a daily driver pretty much) and see him out a fair bit in the SLS AMG Coupe he has. Summer months will no doubt bring out his/her array of convertibles smile

It wasn't Paul then. I saw an F50 in Peterborugh a good few years ago, when I saw this thread, I wondered if it might have been him.

Are you sure it wasn't an F40? as his business was based in Peterborough, and he had a f40 prior to 2004 when you saw the car?

Nope, definitely an F50. I saw it flash past as I joined a dual carriageway, and thought I only know one car with a back end like that, I caught up with it at the following roundabout, and then took a detour from where I was going to follow it and listen to the V12...

All this nonsense about how much he is worth is irrelevant. Most, if not all of his cars are an investment. He could sell his three musketeers tomorrow for double what he paid for them, and I am sure that would apply to most of his collection.
