Sun was out , pulled the cover off the GTS , turned battery on , opened garage , excellent chance for first blast this year , sat there , turned the Key and dink , DO,H , shut garage door , plug in charger put on cover and go down the pub.
This is why I have everything on a battery conditioner.bertie said:

I do not attach the charger when I isolate , I didn't think there would be any drain , been ok for three years , the charger is wired directly to the battery terminals , the plug is next to the isolater knob , the charger is still showing orange charge light on half full icon , hopefully go green overnight if not new battery , annoyed at the missed opportunity for a decent drive

All batteries have an internal resistance so do drain even if isolated. Add in age and cold and it's likely knackered. For what it is Id have a new one, once discharged they are never the same and cause so much trouble.

You might be lucky, but just because it's accepted a charge doesn't categorically mean it's ok I'm afraid. If the cells sulphate you loose capacity and it'll collapse under load.
All of them seem to have a life of 3-5 years before they give up.
But fingers crossed it's ok.
