You have to remember that TG is an entertainment program, not a motoring one. 3 ageing blokes doing stupid stunts on Sunday night telly, a short scruffy one, tall pompous one, and a sensible one in the middle. If that isn't the spiritual suzzessor to Last of The Summer Wine then I don't know what is.

As if to prove this point, my 83 year old mum has just started watching it and thinks it is hilarious. She especially likes "that James Clarkson. Your dad thought he was a bit of an idiot, but I think he's quite good. That series he did with Oz Clarke was good too".
