"The 650S is noticeably quicker than the Huracan" not my words but confirms my own findings

http://fastestlaps.com/comparisons/lamborghini_hur...

Read it and weap biggrin

Love the looks of the Huracan but until there is a lightweight special edition spider I will stick with the LP570-4 PET for my Lambo fix thanks

N/A vs Turbo sound - no contest. That v10 sounds epic.

Not just the Huracan either, 650S chews up and spits out the 458 even in Speciale form

Cognitive dissonance can be very powerful.

What am I missing here GRB?
I'm not getting "chewed up and spat out" from either of those two comparisons. I'm getting three cars that all have tiny differences in certain situations but come out about even.

I went 650S but any of these three is a dream come true, the Lambo looks exquisite, the Speciale sounds devine and the Mac pulls like a train on sulphate.

Apart from one stupid comment from somebody wishing heavy depreciation on the 650S this thread seems to be about the enthusiasm and excitement of Huracan ownership.
I'm all for it, gives me a warm glow to see people enjoying the fruits of their labour so much, can't see the point in turning it into a pissing contest.

Was at the Huracan testing day at Millbrook today, a truly epic car which makes the Gallardo seem very dated, the gearbox is the biggest single improvement & great to see Lambo staying NA...

Did a few flying laps with a racing driver & I didn't notice any understeer at all, it went well & sounded awesome...

Not sure id trade my 12c for one yet, may change my mind when the spider comes out...

Absolutely agree - no need for anything negative when there is so much that's positive to talk about.

Couldn't agree more that all 3 cars are fantastic in their own way but the constant goading, McLaren bashing and stupid comments about depreciation need to be addressed with the facts

I could of spent less money and had any of the 3 and still chose the 650S because for me its the most accomplished overall car of them all.
Might not be the loudest, might not be the best looking, might not be the most nimble on a track but on the road in normal driving conditions it is the fastest and most exclusive roof down motoring car in its category.
I have no affiliation to a particular brand and I'm lucky enough to also have a Ferrari, Lambo and 2 Kia's so whilst no expert I like to think I have an open mind and unbiased opinion.

The biggest issue with Huracan for me at the moment is not so much the car itself but the sheer numbers that Lamborghini have dumped on the UK ( 2 years supply I understand ) Like I say when a lightweight special edition spider is available and this current glut of launch vehicles has moved on I will happily revisit the Huracan but in the meantime it makes more sense for me to stick with the LP570-4 Performante

Are you really pulling someone up for talking about depreciation? Wow.

Any negative comments regarding the 650S are brought on by your repetitive posting style.

For evidence of how it should be done, read Brad's thread on acquiring his 650S. Not one negative comment from another poster.

Why?

Because he doesn't make it all about him, doesn't crassly mention money and future values in nearly every post or repeat incessantly what other vehicles he owns.

I'm afraid you reap what you sow with regard to your posting.

Hmm,

I think I trust Harris over a random yank on a very unsatisfuying track covered in sand giving 4wd a clear advantage. Also anything with a corvette above a 911GT3 suggests power over balance is the order of the day. Not convinced.
Seems to have randomly won a few races and championships http://www.randypobst.com/index.cfm?template=resul...

thought they nailed the handling with the z06 and zr1..... lets take it to the ring.... much longer lap, more of a benchmark heh.....

Interesting review. I want one smile

Anyway I might have made this up but if I havnt this may explain the potential difference in reviews regarding understeer.

I seem to recal that when this was launched press talked about an optional variable steering whatnot somthing or other.

Perhaps the car Harris drove had that and the pobst one didn't?

I even recall one early review that complained about the understeer that blamed that option directly.

Or did I dream all that.

Ps I saw one form the front come at me from over a hill on the 614 and its looked amazing.

I Like Harry's garage reviews, he seems to be genuine car nut.

Love both cars.

I had one on demo for a week and it really really grew on me

It was nice to back to back it with my Avantador too

I scribed quite a few views on a fairly long thread on s9s.co.uk so go look there if you are interested (Italian section)

I have to say, I love the way the Huracan looks, to my eyes it's a far better looking thing than the Aventador whose front end I've never got on with.

So when does the Spyder come out?

As a guess one would suggest geneva next year perhaps?
I do hope they do something about that exhaust surround that bit just looks odd to me!
I think the glass backs also look miles better than the plastic backs.... you can finally see the engine! clap
