I raced there in early 90s, and put a pass on Juan Pablo Montoya into turn 1 which I'm still happy about!

Even happier a lap and a half later when I saw him fully locked up in my mirrors going into corkscrew, and knew he was off. So I moved out of the way.

Except, he wasn't going off, and somehow made the turn...still remember it as the best overtake I've ever been subjected to.

Since then, one of us went on to win the Indy 500 and the Monaco Grand Prix ;-)

Great track - old school.

I drove round it about 10 years ago...you really can't appreciate how big the drops are until you've been there...especially the corkscrew.

I got taken round there as a passenger in a Radical SR style 2 seater about 7 or 8 years back by their resident pro at the time, and it was like driving off a cliff and almost completely blind from my side
They'd just had a stormy day and it'd blown sand/dust all over the track too, so was blimmin slippery in places
I wouldn't want to tackle the corkscrew in something with a big heavy front end and rear wheel drive as you get all sorts of weird momentum shifts in the weight

At 13m 50. Love the shot of the P1 trying to peel off its rear tyres!

I saw that as well and wondered if the tyre pressures were right
