They are reasonably local and I need somebody to help me with tweaks on import of the SL (eg mph dash) plus occasional maintenance for the Countach.

Any experiences of them? Can only find v old threads on PH and fchat which are positive.

Other recommendations not far from Suffolk - otherwise it can get tedious transport wise?

PM me if easier.

Thanks!

I've been very impressed with them. They've done quite a bit of work on my F40 and it's running superbly now. Got one of my other cars there at the moment. He seems very busy at the present (which i suppose is a good thing) so turnaround has not been the quickest, that said i did let him know i was not in a hurry. Send me IM if you have any specific questions / concerns.

I've never used Grimaldi but if you want an alternative I'd vouch for Barr Tech in Cambridge.

Grimaldi certainly knows his stuff on Countachs and seems to service a fair amount of newer stuff too. I’ve always been very happy with his work and attention to mechanical detail. My Countach runs so much better since he’s been servicing it.

Yup, and only seemed positive when I called up a couple of years back. On the same road as EuroSpares HQ too if you want to beg for a discount on parts! biggrin

Was there earlier in the year. Seemed highly knowledgeable and friendly would recommend.

Also Eurospares is located directly opposite them so could be useful.

Are Eurospares genuine parts or pattern parts?

Grimaldi are great, highly recommended.

And yes, Eurospares supply genuine parts, apparantly they hold more stock than Ferrari UK (Maranello's).

Rob and his team are first class. I've been using Grimaldi for years. Honest, very knowledgeable, meticulous and will not rip you off. The same goes for Eurospares.

They sell a mix of pattern and OEM parts and don't always differentiate between the two so be super careful when ordering.

I personally dislike Eurospares after a couple of bad experiences and would never buy from them again.

...and some in their parts dept. don't seem to understand that Maranello Classic Parts is NOT Ferrari but a separate company owned by Sytner and ultimately Penske wink

Back to Grimaldi, Rob has looked after my cars for several years, I've no hesitation in recommending him.
