Isn't a roadster SV an oxymoron?
Or to put it another way, do people buying the roadster SV do so because the standard roadster plainly is just not fast enough for their talents whilst making sure they get a tan?
You must be driving open topped Gods.

Yes we are, this is true. Or to put it another way, do people buying the roadster SV do so because the standard roadster plainly is just not fast enough for their talents whilst making sure they get a tan?

I'd be more than happy being scared silly by the standard roadster. I do think the SV isa good leap forward though, enjoy your cars when they arrive.

Hey Anjum - hope you're well mate!
Is the gearbox the same as the current roadster? Had one for a few days recently and I have to say I thought the gear changes pretty much ruined the car for serious driving.......I played with a number of different techniques but wasn't ever really happy with it - does it improve with experience?
Had a huracan this weekend and just found it a miles better driving tool.....actually I thought it was pretty epic....even with the dynamic steering (which I thought would be a serious issue on track but really not on the road unless you're being pretty silly)
Hey Nightare! How goes it - hope all is well. Firstly, drive the newest roadster you can - as continual software updates really does make a difference! Is the gearbox the same as the current roadster? How spirited do you want? I love corsa on the road - it's pretty brutal , but fun! Keep your foot in and keep accelerating. But for track work, I would use sport mode, as corsage mode caused too much weight transfers. Changes are a bit slower, but there so much mass to contain, that I think I was actually faster!
I have driven the Huracan, and liked the Dual Clutch gearbox - but I love my 458 Speciale more!
Can't wait for the SV.......

Had a chat with a chap yesterday at the Ferrari National Concours event, his should arrive mid october, specced up to the max, he has opted for blue (coupe) but he also has a roadster coming also! (currently has a rosso mars roadster)
In relation to dealers having the SVs, all of them were thrust upon them by Lamborghini and they had no choice in any of the specs, they just wanted to get them out to dealers and the first RHD cars so prospective clients can see them etc. As far as I am aware they aren't allowed to sell those demos for a specific period of time either as I am sure someone will pay silly money over list to have one now!
What colours are people going for on their SVs, I love them my only gripe is they could have gone more angular with the wing. And also the exhaust isn't as loud as the optional race/sports exhaust you could get on the standard aventador (guy mentioned above been to italy to drive the Sv and normal aventador back to back and for specifications of his cars.

The exhaust mod (c£1750 on the current car, and just a software re-flash really) will be available for the MY16 SV's as they start coming through. So they will sound as good as the current car, but for another c£1750 of your dosh.Gassing Station | Supercar General | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
