Had this type of hero showing me his God like driving skills a few times.
If the opportunity arises, I point and laugh at them.....Their willy then retracts being ridiculed.

But, as previously mentioned, statistically, the chances of seeing wky driving skills in mass produced cars is greater due to the number on the roads.

The quality of car does not define the quality of the driver.

Its fair to say that if someone said what the OP wrote in real life then anyone within earshot would cringe and think a of the OP as being pompous for saying so. Some would even challenge the OP on what he has just said - and rightly so.
...and there would be others who think you sound like a boring member of the PC brigade.

I'm assuming you don't drive a supercar?
No, bikes are my thing - not supercars.

Want a race?

oh, and then you deleted your post?????

I did delete it - couldn't be bothered with this thread as life's too short.

I had a tt in a Saab turbo glued to my back bumper a few days ago when I was out for a run in the Maserati, he eventually went blasting past in a 40 limit with junctions and parked cars. This sort of thing happens more often when I drive the Maserati than it does with my other cars so I think the op has a point even if he could have expressed it rather better.

Easy resolution:
UK need a huge injection of "lesser" Vauxhall driver's. That way the "higher" people can get a notch up on their self esteem levels. smile

I have a 550 Maranello. It doesn't make me a better or worse person than anyone driving anything else.

But driving a car like that does make other motorists to daft things, overtake randomly to look, want to race etc so I get the OPs point

Yeah had some .... in a 458 try overtaking me lol
HeeHee - That made me chuckle.. At least the 458 owner would of been enjoying the attempted manoeuvre, listening to that Italian V8 jewel hitting the 9K limiter. Admittedly, enjoying himself as the 'Henry' vacuum pulled away!!

The problem here is the "Lesser" and "Superior" prefix , no car is lesser or superior just more or less expensive , it just a case of the driver of the expensive car thinking he should be able to p**s higher up the wall
Just been reading the "pre owned F Type thread , and a similar mentality appears there, pre owned ( expensive ) , second hand ,not so expensive ,they are both used cars. Get a life !!!

That went well LOL

My point being, I wish minions ( biggrin ) wouldn't risk killing themselves and, more importantly others, with reckless overtakes just to gain pub bragging rights that "I overtook a Mclaren, Ferrari etc etc". It was genuinely outrageous and indeed scary to witness!
I have found out today the vehicle in question pulled out of a well known local gypsy site, explains a lot...

Then it's probably nothing to do with him wanting to show you who's who, more to do with the driver being a .

The main problem with owning a supercar is that you get an awful lot of people who want to race you and it goes from Vauxhall corsa's to super bikes and for one I'm not interested in racing you

Not sure I qualify as a super car owner but I get this every day if I take the quick car to work. 3 different cars did it today and were determined to get past me whatever. i just let them go. I don't think I ever did this in the past, is it just a modern chav thing?

AFAIK, if you had an M135 then you might be, not a GTR I'm afraid.... smile

Quick (super) cars can, sometimes, seem like they are painted with a "race me" sign. Not very often, but sometimes it seems, some people in 'not' quick (super) cars do feel the need to prove they can overtake you. Sad really. Do they think you will rise to the bait?
Funny enough, I've never had this behaviour from other quick cars. Most of them just pretend they haven't seen you and continue on their way..... One proper nice Porker driver did give the approving nod (which was returned with a big thumbs up) and drove off sensibly.
It must be an ego thing.

There has been an occasion whilst pressing on in the Evora on B roads where I have had to slow up because I genuinely thought the guy behind trying to keep up in his Golf GTi was going to go off the road on some of the bends.

In this case the evora (not a supercar) was superior at cornering to the golf, but of course the golf would be superior for a trip to Tesco top get the weeks shopping
