+1 to the guys at Riverside. I'm an F-car newbie and they were very helpful and knowledgeable. My car will only go to them based on this experience and their reputation.
I've know Aldo for over a decade now . He has done literally hundreds of services , pre track checks , pre purchase inspections , fuel bag changes ( f40/f50) , modifications etc for me . I have never had a single complaint no matter how trivial . My vocabulary is not able to convey the level of excellence riverside deliver . You only need to look at the 250 gto engine and other special things they do to know the skill level . I took the f50 to silverstone after a bag out service and battered it round the track all day , it ran like a Patek Phillipe . The Ferrari guys there couldn't believe the work-rate that vehicle had to endure .

Chessington is easily reachable for me. What's their hourly rate?

I don't know their hourly rate, however it is a lot less then a couple of the "major" franchise ones I have used in the past. FYI there is an F50 in at the moment as well as an F40 and they also look after a very loud Enzo...

Autoficcina near Chessington are regularly mentioned positively
They were more expensive for a full service on my QP than both Joe Macari and HROwen (who bizarrely were the cheapest)

Whether you are in London or the South West, Carrs would be a good choice. I have used them for the last three years and their service is brilliant. Prices are reasonable, too (their charges are no higher than the previous owner of my car was paying for an Indie). They will collect and return your car in their own covered transporter for a small charge and they regularly service cars from all over, including from under the noses of Maranello (some of Carrs' customers actually keep their cars in Maranello's storage facility, but have them serviced by Carrs!).

Call Mark Ware and have a chat.

i would like to know why my posts get removed?

So I don't think Autoficcina are any good and put Elias on par with Verdi. Are we not allowed to provide opinions based on personal experience?

I hate it when a forum is so biased.

I was wondering the same thing - I noticed your other post earlier today and I was surprised to see it had disappeared. I wonder if this post will vanish too?

Edit: maybe if you post a factual account of your experience, it will help others understand?

A post of such nature is very subjective and would definitely get removed off a public forum due to the threat of legal action. Always happy to provide my experience via private email to anyone who is thinking of using Autoficcina.

I suspect that the posts were removed because I reported them. Suggest read the rules of posting where PH policy on naming/shaming is clearly set out.

I (and apparently a good number of others) have received excellent service from Elias/ Autofficina. If you haven't take it up directly with them rather than involve PH in a potentially nasty (and expensive) argument.

I brushed up on the rules (actually, on this post http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a... which is more informative than the rules themselves) and I understand PH's position, although my interpretation would be that while full public slagging off is banned, a simple post saying something along the lines of 'I disagree with the positive comments about X, happy to provide details privately if anyone is interested' should be allowed to stand.

For the record, although it's been years since I used them, Autofficina provided good service to me when I last did.

I'd agree with you. The removed posts went rather beyond saying he disagreed with others views though.

Hi everyone
Got my first Ferrari (a Cali T)
Faced an issue within 100 miles of driving (mainly owing to own stupidity). Looking for guidance on where to get it fixed from. Spoke to Jardines in Kent and Maranello in Egham as closest ones. But open to alternatives (obviously cost effective but seamless). Details below.
Thanks in advance

- Car went on really low fuel (range disappeared and 2-3 warning signs after). I ignored
- Then gave me warning that fuel pressure low, turn engine off - that made me concerned
- Coolant temperature went up to 110-120 degrees within a few minutes. Turned car off within 2-3 miles of driving at 10-20 mph as traffic was stuck
- Car did not start again
- Then put some fuel in. Car had cooled off by this time. Then heated up soon after and asked to turn engine off again
- Started it off following morning on cold engine and all good. Then within 10 min, heated up again
- I noticed oil pressure gauge goes really low and then warning of turning engine off comes up
- I've done the master reset (take negative cable off for few min and reset) - not much changed
- Have put more fuel in and gauge is sensing more oil / showing more bars
- When engine is switched off, a funny rotating sound can be heard just before the car goes quiet
- It shows the oil pressure warning sign on as the pressure gauge on the instrument cluster loses pressure. Then the engine turn off warning comes on

How long before this issue had you not driven car ? Its just possible you have a weak battery - it sounds like you do not have a vendor warranty so for non-franchise you could try KHPC or Autoficcina depending on who is more convenient

A week
Battery not an issue
Ignition is fine
It is the heating up that happens after which is the problem
