On the other hand I do admire company directors that have earned their own crust and are able to live by their own rules and wealth.
What the heck has being a company director got to do with anything?!! I understand admiring people who've made their way up but this is all very odd. I'm a company director of sorts and have a Santa Cruz mountain bike and a Ferrari cap. My wife on the other hand isn't a company director and somehow managed to cash buy the vast majority of our Ferrari 360. I bet the OP doesn't admire girly supercar owning non-company directors but he might admire me and my bike?

What a strange topic

It's the curt aggressive way the op has worded his request, he could be anyone just trying to get info and personal details, for all we know for an ulterior motive, it's not his or anyone's right to even ask, just plain rude and ignorant

He probably just means 'How did you make your money?'

I get that shouted at me about once a month... Except it sounds more polite because they shout 'WHAT DO YOU DO?!?!?!' smile

Isn't it short-sighted to assume that only company directors can afford supercars?

Automotive Electonics sector..

I don't drive a supercar, because i like driving cars from the 90's that don't work most of the time, this is because I enjoy them.

You too can be a company director for £15 or so...

https://www.gov.uk/register-a-company-online

but I'm not a company director. My main car is a VW UP! 60hp.. I also own and drive a second-hand car made by the Fiat / Chrysler group on occasion.

What's your Gransport like to own and drive - is the reputation valid? Beautiful cars by the way smile

I always liked the idea of the Coupe since seeing the 3200 in an early, perhaps the earliest EVO but couldn't afford one at that time. The GS looks, IMO, fantastic, sounds great, handles well, acceleration not rocket-like but plenty of power and an apparently never-ending piling on of licence-risking speed if one wants; I've done as much acceleration and handling at lower speeds that my limited driving skills would support when I had the Caterham and, importantly, my wife is not only prepared to go in it but actually enjoys doing so - unlike the Caterham.

Only positive responses from the public so far and the MILFS seem to be keen to have a ride (in the car). What would I change? - one silly thing, the outside temperature reading from F to C but can't see how to and one big thing, as alluded to in the thread about 3200 vs 4200 - a manual box would be perfect. I enjoyed the video from across the sea from you - the presenter gets a bit excited at 1:20! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eLOVH0oRB-0

I hadn't seen that vid before, thanks for posting.

Interesting to me as I considered shipping my GranSport to NZ for our honeymoon. Having driven around down there, the thought of being set loose on their roads in something nice is a dream.

I'm assuming £2.5- £3k p.a. average for servicing and repairs, £500 road tax, £500 insurance ...hmm that's £70 since I last used it! However the weather is horrid, damp, wet, and salty gritted roads with short days at the moment on this side of the world, plus I've been working hard all week.
