And, much like me, whilst it's just the family car and you have lots of other nice cars, I bet you love that GL eh?
Yep - bought it with 50k on the clock, in a Merc finance auction three years ago, and it's done many miles since. Last year I drove it from French Alps to Scotland in one go. 14hrs driving, only stopped for fuel and the channel tunnel!

Nice. Mine's generally towing my race car to various circuits or classics to shows that are too far to drive to.

Nice lifts. I have 5 4 post and 1 2 post myself. Great solution for storage.

Thats an impressive drive smile Single handed?
Used to regularly do some big double drives in the truck, 20 hours driving, (between 2 of us) if we hit 1500kms we were impressed.
Lovely Countach.

Come on......what sort of real man reads a manual.

Has Tulisa got a manual?

don't sell the R107 - very very hard to find good ones, and they are rock solid. They can go for months without driving, and you jump in and they start at the first go

Correct - the manual is still shrink wrapped.
Anyway, this is a convertible:

And this is Tulisa reading her manual:

Loving this thread!
Great combinations...

Adding my modest contribution:

Fun at the weekend - Ferrari 612 Scaglietti
Cracking drive and the family can come too

Commuting to the station - Jag X type 3.0

Family car - Jag XF SV8

All good fun in their own way.

Only drawback is that the X type doesn't warm up quick enough on the 10 minute drive to the station.
Have been looking at alternatives (eg Mini Cooper) - any suggestions?

Oh OK...

DD: Alfa 159 Sportwagon (120k miles, 10 years old)

Reasonably practical and fun: Abarth 500 Essesse

Occasional fun and keepers: F355 GTS and Fiat Dino Spider

Plus a 550 (LHD) which may become a 456 (tell me I'm mad, almost everyone else has).

Two wheel commute: BMW 1200 GS

You need to be certified !! My 550's also LHD perfect compliment to a RHD 355 !!

456 no comparison to a 550 !

456 !!! I would have to go granturismo ( again) rather than 456 !!

Thanks guys. I've always loved the 456 but never driven one; I figured it must be reasonably close to the 550 which is sublime. I have however heard many stories regarding the costs/issues/built quality in relation to a 550. Consider me 'talked down' for the minute!

Well Ive just lost interest in some of my cars, seem to have got to a point where I probably need to hand back my pistonheads cards !!

I think after 60ish performance cars I've finally reached the end !!

I can't seem to find anything I want next, really tried to like astons but every time I decide to buy one I can't bring myself to do it !!

The 107 has sat for 6 months without even having the cover off
