964RS low mileage but also fully repainted I guess from pictures: missing paper stickers in the engine bay
So yes agreed that is a healthy price for it
It seems we are seeing a slowing down on the rate of upward value curves, but cool and eventful cars will always be sought. The skyward demand on property stock plays a role in all this, partly driven by continual migration into UK.

Don't get me wrong, I use to own a 964RS, sadly stollen away from us 2yrs ago.
All I'm saying is that 130k£ for a repainted car seems healthy. I know I would pay a lot more for an original paint car, which this one is not...hence the discount to 130k£

Gallardo and the Z3 M-Coupe both look very strong prices to me.

For some reason there are a lot of 550 Barchettas suddenly for sale - I think that yellow one has now failed to sell twice.

I remember seeing one advertised for £118k (what feels like) not very long ago!

Surprised at this, I thought they were going for £300k++. Anyone know what the reserve was that it failed to make?
I was at the historical auction last Saturday.

The reserve is usually somewhere near the mid estimate.

Btw ,possibly the worst result was the Porsche speedster already mentioned.

Bidding started at £50K and stopped again at £55K,with an estimate 3 times that.

The note I put in my catalogue was WTF.

Austin Owen own that Barchetta. They seem to have been unable to shift it for about a year. I guess Giallo isn't a popular colour for Barchettas?

Wonder if the yellow is original colour? I saw one being painted about 2 Years ago at Dick Lovett's, think it was TdF or Silverstone before

That must be a mis-print?? That's a ridiculous price. Why would anyone spend that kind of money on a car like that - I don't think that makes sense even as an investment.

Crazy!

It was at Simon Furlonger's at the beginning of the year. I suspect the reason it hasn't sold is more to do with it being ex-Japan so difficult to verify history etc. and also a fairly high mileage (yes, I know) for collectors. It was for sale in Japan in Jan 2014 (8.9m Yen, one owner, 36,000km - rounded up given it is on 35,291km now?) but I don't know if it came straight to Europe thereafter. I also think the market for LHD Ferraris has been pretty much saturated for many models over the last few months as lots of people looked to make a quick buck by importing lots of cars of variable quality from wherever they could find them.

I'm pretty sure this car has always been yellow.

It's been on Austin Owen's instagram feed for more than a year, so I wonder who actually owns it?

In my experience conventionally the reserve is usually below the bottom estimate - otherwise the buyers complain that they'd bid within the estimate but haven't been able to buy the car.

I don't recall ever seeing a car bid to above the bottom estimate and not sell because they've failed to reach the reserve.

I went to see the 550 Barchetta at SF last year - quite simply, it has no (and I mean no) service history. Lovely car otherwise!

Kahn autos in Bradford have a lot of lhd Italian exotica , not sure how well they are selling though . Are these cars from Japan ? Testarossas and F512 seem to have been popular in japan
