Sweet.

Why the engine update so soon when they made a big thing about the torque reduction in lower gears to give a more linear ( non turbo type delivery ) of power ?

Ive got test drive of a spider lined up so wonder if it will be with or without modification and whether I would notice the difference anyway

Nothing there to say that they've allowed it to produce peak torque all the way through all the gears......

Dealer told me the upgrade was done yesterday before I picked it up.

I had heard a few people comment on it not revving to 8000rpm, I can now confirm it does.

I have a order in for the spider and am going to Thruxton on the 12th to drive it.

The wheels look too small or the wheel arch looks too big. Not sure it looks right - seems to have too much body overhang on both the front and the rear.

Doesn't look different to the 458 in terms of arch gap and overhang to my eyes?

EDIT: Maybe the rear looks a touch bigger.

Wont the standard 458 have an even bigger gap given that this is a speciale. Looks like 488 has similar gap to speciale from this comparison

Wow, not seen a 488 in orange getmecoat

Why is it Ferrari press cars and photo's are always so much lower than the customers cars coming off the production line. Its like they are on stilts at times.
I can remember asking the dealer if my F430 still had the transportation blocks in the springs. Definitely needs at least 20 mm lowering

UK cars have the ride height set higher from what I have read in the past. Something about our roads

Ferrari doesn't use photos for their launch pics - they use renders. This gives them the freedom to lower the car, enlarge the wheel size and increase the offset - all digitally. They exploit this freedom to the max. rolleyes
