Each to their own it's like marmite you either love the colour or hate it, most like it I have experienced, tbh F355 looks good in any colour because of the pretty lines but RED and Yellow are the true Ferrari colours I think
I agree they look amazing in pretty much any colour. I saw one in NART blue last weekend - looked fabulous
Lovely story, very pleased for you. It's why I kept my 1998 550 Maranello, she's my first and even with additions to the stable, will be the last to go. I once asked my dealer back in 2002 about selling her but he told me I would be calling him up within 6 months asking to buy her back, so I kept her. Best advice I had. Something very special about your first Ferrari. Congrats!

Today I go and collect my old Ferrari F355 (proper clickerty-clack manual) which I originally bought in 2000 and sold in 2002.
She was my 1st Super Car and I have fond memories of her despite us parting company after less than 2 years and 4k miles.
She's been treated well since, having only done 13k miles in the last 14 years.
The opportunity arose of buying her back which I've done, but will she be as good as the memories?
Back in 2000 aged 33 I couldn't think of how a car could be better (Clarkson said the same back-in-the-day https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P8YZzGaprtA), but things have moved on and I'm fortunate to have had a few Supercars since her, but hopefully she won't disappoint....?
I'll find out this afternoon!

my first Ferrari was a black 360 manual - would never go back to it, it's probably the one i have absolutely no memories about it except that if was a good one (10,000 miles in a year of ownership)
In the past 10years in order i had the following: 993, 993 turbo, 360 (this particular black forgotten one), 997 GT3RS, Challenge Stradale, 964 RS, 575HGTC, Scuderia, and Challenge Stradale
and i do drive a Stradale now (my 2nd actually)...so very happy to have gotten back to my first Ferrari love (not my first Ferrari however)
Enjoy, first loves are not always bad
