Not really a supercar, but loving my undervalued slice of Italian car, just fitted a full Larini Exhaust:

My first attempt with a Go Pro.

I would love a 550 Maranello if I could afford one, but this doesn't seem such a bad alternative for the fraction of the price. Apparently a lot of the 550 team also worked on the 3200. It shares a few of the same parts such as the brakes, steering wheel, controllers etc.

But by that logic you could argrue every fiat is connected with Ferrari I suppose smile

I do love the all leather interior and the fact it's arguably the last true Maserati engine.

It certainly handles well too, the tweaks to the AC make quite a difference I think. I have pilot sport 4 tyres and slightly altered geometry from standard, the turn in is really lovely.

Thanks smile I like the burble at idle and then it builds to part spitfire part mini nascar...

You also get plety of sounds from the twin turbo's, when you drive it hard it has a bit of the rally car about it, whooshes and sighs etc.

I have been seriously thinking about selling my Audi A6 and getting one of these, are they reliable enough for a daily driver??? It won't get driven that much really as I work away a lot.

How much was the Larini Exhaust? Nice sound

How old is your A6?

The 3200 is a 15-18 year old car, so there are always some things that can expire with age.

In a nutshell, not really suited as a daily driver.

They do have a bit of a reputation for unreliability, but most of it is untrue, in some respects using them more often helps.

Anyway, you could, but you would have to be very dedicated and accept high fuel consumption and plenty of maintenance.

I use mine sometimes for work etc, but wouldn't choose it for every day, although it would be nice smile

The A6 really doesnt get used that much, it's a 2008 model, I own a Ferrari 355 too which gets driven even less. I just want something as a daily driver of sorts I can drive around that sounds really nice and that I can not worry about as much as I do the 355 (parking and things like that) preferably a V8 that won't cost the earth and can be relatively reliable too and also still feel a bit special I'm not bothered about petrol cost so much, reliability is more the issue, obviously it's never going to be as reliable as a 2.7 V6 diesel Audi

I would think of the 3200 as having 75% of the running costs of a 355, although perhaps not as I understand there are a lot of engine out jobs for the 355.

The 3200 can be reliable, but the later 4200 is reckoned to be more reliable by most.

All you need is a good one, like most things, use it regularly, service it and there should be minimal problems.

Tangent, but how about a V8 engined Audi S4. Those seem like good value.
