Ok, so I had this unrealistic dream as a kid that one day someone would say 'take my F40 for a spin'. And then last weekend, when supposedly going and filming a video about a guys F40 and having a ride in it, but he actually handed me the keys and told me to take it out! WTF???

Cant begin to describe how good that car actually is. When it comes on boost its actually scary fast!

If any of you are ever given the chance to drive one then please snatch the opportunity because it has to be the bet supercar ever made!

vid here if anyone wants a watch.

Thanks for posting. It's always nice when you see real enthusiasts getting thrown a once in a lifetime opportunity from another enthusiast.

The owner is an absolute legend! It took him over 2 years to find the best F40 he possibly could, then after owning it a few months lets me drive it.

The other thing is that despite it being low mileage he plans to still use it!

Great video, I felt like I was right there with you in the car. For me it's up there with the Countach as the definitive supercar.
Anyone old enough to have an F40 poster on the wall as a kid should be smiling watching this.

Kudos to the owner for letting you take it for a spin, top man that bloke.

Great film - Felt like I was going through that myself! While the Testarossa is my 'itch', I have to conceded that instinctively, for me, the F40 is the single most special supercar ever made. I'm of the same generation - the Bburago models, the posters, etc. I will live a special moment vicariously via that film many times to come!

Amazing! I spent about an hour staring at every detail of an F40 in the paddock at Donnington aged about 12 in the early 90s so I would feel the same.

Great video, I feel the exact same about the F40. Still got my childhood Burago model and my F40 poster has moved from the bedroom wall to the garage.

Congrats on getting the opportunity and also taking us along the path of dream realisation smile

You know what I think you're right there! That model car was played with so much! I even had to get my dad to use some touch up paint from his red escort he had just to keep it looking nice. When I took it out and looked at it for the first time in a while I noticed that there was still half my parents old living room carpet clogging up the air ducts at the front and under the engine bay!!!

Really enjoyed that.
Super jealous!
They are my dream car also, my MD has one but one seen it once in 10 years.

Still check the car park everyday in the hope he has brought it in again though.
