Aircraft On Ground or AOG for short is a widely used aviation term. To put it plainly (no pun intended) if an aircraft goes tech or has a fault which can inhibit its continued use, the airline will use AOG.

For instance, when the airline buyers are looking for the component on the open market (Such as Saywell's) they will notify the salesperson they have an AOG situation implying the urgency and that it is time critical. Every minute an aircraft is in the ground costs airlines $$$s.

Was that in the afternoon session?

One ran out in front of me whilst doing the lunchtime parade lap. Easy to avoid when you're only doing 30mph!

If it was the same one it didn't learn its lesson....

Not sure what is most shocking:

1. Someone with a ~£180k car has not bothered to learn how to drive it...
2. A ~£180k Ferrari handles so bad it spins off on a dry, smooth, straight road...
3. Someone viewing a 30sec video online has squealed to plod...

Sorry, what experience have you got of these cars that you can speak (apparently) from authority about them?

Ridiculous that the Police are investigating this really. Driver got caught out and had a moment in a powerful RWD car. There was no collision, the whole thing was over in less than 10 seconds. There's plenty worse footage of errant driving on dashcam videos all over YouTube.

Aha, Sadly no. It was my second session of the day on the outlap. Did manage to get back on track for another session in the afternoon but by then the rear tyres were shot so we called it a day. There's a nice chip in the roof which I presume was made by the blighters beak. I doubt he was back in action!

that site is run by a local to Goodwood media group... so they picked up on the "story" ...

I agree a little too harsh, i was there on the day and a few people did get excited and carried away, on cold tyres this guy should have known better and may have turned off tc to give the young lads a show but must have scared himself more than anyone. without doubt he's learnt from it and everyone should let this one rest now>
