Hi Guys,
I rarely post but having just ordered a Huracan LP580-2 coupe i feel i could be classed as a supercar owner in waiting at least.
I am after thoughts and opinions from anyone that owns a RWD Huracan. What are they like to own? How was your purchasing experience?
I haven't even driven one yet lol.
What were your experiences like with the respective UK dealerships? Did anyone that ordered new manage to negotiate things like Xpel protection for free, or get anything else thrown in? Should i be pushing for some free goodies?
What are peoples opinions on the standard steel brakes? i think its a little tight of Lamborghini to charge so much for the carbon ceramics, when the car is already 180k with a light spec.
Thanks in advance for any replies.
Cheers,
Minnsy

Lambo sales are very strong I believe at the moment and tbh if you've placed an order the chance to negotiate has probably gone. I think you could get a deal on a stock car but special order not so sure.
I personally would pay the extra for Carbon ceramics, they make little difference to the drive ability of the car but they will effect resale.

It's all a supply and demand thing from factory to dealer to you... the line can only make so many huracans, whatever variant.... the factory itself is gearing up for uras production not increasing the other modals... so, if global sales are high, then uk gets its allocation only, no extra, and if dealers sell out, there is no need to offer deals...
The arrival of the performante may mean there are no deals to be had... but if you don't ask.... as they say....
As said above, if there is a dealer specced car around in stock, then a deal may be available, but I think huracan spider sales have been good and 2wd allocations are low...
Fwiw I'd get a 2wd too... as for the brakes, ceramics meant to be very good... think they are standard on the 4wd.... but that's how the 2wd is priced less, spec lower.

And congratulations btw...
Thank you for your informative post, as you can tell I'm new to the Lamborghini brand.I am very excited and think myself quite lucky to have got a build slot for June delivery, what with all Lamborghini's trailblazing intentions this year!
As far as the brakes are concerned I should think for my uses the steels will be more than sufficient. Cant justify the carbon ceramics on my budget.

I did, but for sure have missed the boat on that one! I will have the LP580 for 18 months and in that time I may be able to get my name down for a Performante Spyder should it be released?

Porsche in Wales took a deposit three years early for a RS but the car went to another favoured customer!
Told everyone and it's cost them over a dozen new car sales to date
I hope the Lamborghini dealer would deliver on their promise to supply

Interested as well in whether there's deals to be had here on either stock or factory orders... looking to place an order within the next month or so.
Ordered a 'standard' Spyder to my factory spec recently, with about a 5mth delivery timeline (expected in June) and there was a deal to be done for sure on it. It would be unfair to go into details, but I found Craig in Pangbourne to be very helpful.Gassing Station | Supercar General | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
