Don't know why anyone would go with the high street places for cars of this value. I wanted an agreed value policy for my 458 for starters, and the policy I ended up with from AIB (Hiscox) had various nice extras that were commensurate with the vehicle (DOC, Euro breakdown, etc)
I've recently bought a 2016 Range Rover Autobiography. Admiral wanted an ADDITIONAL £2,900 for my policy! 35yrs old, 3 points, plus wife with clean license living in Surrey, social domestic and pleasure only for 6k miles a year.
The £2,900 additional would have taken that policy for that car to nearly £4,000!
I cancelled it, and my other car policies and have taken out one specialist fleet policy through Reis Motorsport Insurance, insuring the Range Rover, a BMW M2, a Clio 182 Trophy and a Renault 5 GT Turbo (with the R5 being on an agreed valuation classic policy) for £2,500 including home start breakdown cover.
Service was fantastic, real people on the end of the phone, easy to get through, know what they are talking about and obviously saved me an absolute fortune!
Cant recommend them enough.
