Bit disappointed really, looks like a car from an American Movie set in 15yrs time.
The back looks all bloated.

It looks awful, I can't believe they'd show that in public.
The front and profile reminds me slightly of the Zagato Raptor which
was a fabulous looking thing. Definitely thumbs down. As for the wheels - hideous, like something of a crappy Majorette toy car.

(I once saw a programme where Leonardo Fioravanti postulated and demonstrated how
dark coloured wheels look rubbish on a car. This is a good case for the argument)

I think its superb. Only 2 areas I would change (Given the same budget )....

For me the nose is too long by about 6 inches and seems too "straight" where the lights are compared to the rest of the car. I would have thought a slightly shorter rounder (maybe slightly more bulbos) nose would have fitted in with the rest of the shape. With softer edged headlight covers to fit. I think this critic is only really evident in the front three quarters view. I just seems too flat across the car between the lights. From the side it doesn't show as much (although the long nose is still very evident).

The only other line I'm not 100% on is the sharp kick up to the bottom of the window. To me it seems at odd's with the sculptured look of the rest of the car.

Ok, I admit it, I couldn't have done better and given the task of designing a modern interpretation of a P3 I don't many would have done much different.

Hat's of to "Jim" for creating/funding/owning such a car. Bet hes totally on

Hi

Remember this is not the final car it is the first styling model that was finished in December 05. We then took this shape into the wind tunnel and took what we learned and modified the shape. Your feelings on the nose were the same ones I had and the nose evolved interestingly enough exactly as you think it should have.

In the Carbon as it has evolved it really looks surprising different.

Hi Napolis,

Thanks for the direct reply. Very interesting that my comments on the nose were ecohed in your own thoughts and the fact that how I described my ideal look somewhat reflects in the finished article. Oh how I want to see it even more now. Despite my comments I still think its the best looking Ferrari for quite some time and the teaser shots you posted of the finished cockpit glass give a good idea of how good the finished car looks.

Congrats to you on the entire project Really looking forward to the 29th now.

The car is seriously gorgeous overall, but I HATE those silly exhausts.

I'm not a prospective customer so I'm sure my opinion counts for nowt but... too many shut lines, naff exhausts, none too pretty. I'd be more interested in the mechanicals, to be honest.

There that was easy.

Good luck to whom ever is building it. Each to their own.
